🏌️♀️ Lancashire Ladies Golf Bronze Shield Finals Day 🏆
Yesterday saw our Ladies Bronze Team take part in the Lancashire Ladies Golf Bronze Shield Finals Day at Knott End — and what a day it was!
The morning saw five of our ladies take on Mytton Fold in a match play semi-final, with the winners progressing to the afternoon final against either Fleetwood or Formby Ladies.
Representing Bolton in the morning were:
Gill Lowe, Viv Rink, Anne Mooney, Janice Barlow and June Wignall.
After some fantastic golf, the team came away with a 3–2 victory, securing their place in the final! 👏👏
Meanwhile, Fleetwood GC defeated Formby Ladies 3–2, setting up an afternoon final between Bolton and Fleetwood.
For the final, the team was:
Gill Lowe, Anne Mooney, Barbara Cragg, Janice Barlow and June Wignall.
With strong winds and rain making the conditions incredibly challenging, our ladies gave it absolutely everything. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be on this occasion, with Fleetwood taking the final 3–2.
A huge congratulations to Fleetwood GC on their win, and we wish them all the very best for next season. 👏
To our own Bronze Team — commiserations, but what an achievement! You have done yourselves and the club proud throughout the season. Hopefully next year we can go that one step further! 💪🏆
