This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Its important as a team that we look after each other and especially our mental health. As Mountain Rescue Team Volunteers, there are times when we encounter and deal with tragic situations involving serious injury, illness, or death. Such incidents can be very upsetting, or worse, for our team members. Thankfully these are rare occasions but we do have some team members who are trained to support anyone within the team to get any support they may need.
It’s important that everyone takes care of themselves and their mental health. If you ever need support then there are lots of people out there to help. Here are just a few of the amazing organisations to contact:
