Ryders Farm is a family run business, established 25 years ago by Sarah Fitton, a BHS Stage 5 performance coach in Complete Horsemanship. We are a BHS approved Riding School and Livery Yard, an Official Pony Club Centre and approved by the Local Authority. We specialise in riding lessons for all ages and abilities, encouraging people to enjoy the sport of riding and love horses as we do. We are al

ways happy to see new faces (and old friends) and you are welcome to visit our yard, but please, no dogs. We know sometimes the urge to see, touch, talk to and yes, even smell a pony, is overwhelming so even if you’re not riding feel free to visit us, feed the ducks, chat to others on the yard, have a coffee and enjoy yourself. Our instructors, yard staff, reception and admin are all dedicated to ensure that your experience at Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre – whether owner, visitor, student, parent, rider , horse or pony - is one which you enjoy and treasure.

We’re so excited to announce that for the very first time, we will be hosting a Pony Camp Sleepover! We aren’t sure who will be more excited for this, the campers or our Pony Camp staff!🤣

📅 Sunday 16th August – Monday 17th August

Join us for an unforgettable couple of days at the yard, packed with riding, games, friends and plenty of pony fun.

• Riding lessons
• Hacking and ridden activities
• Pizza night
• Evening games and entertainment
• Sleepover at the yard
• Competition afternoon
• Certificates, prizes and more

Residential option available for riders aged 11+
(Younger riders may be considered on an individual basis – please get in touch to discuss.)

We’re excited to officially launch the RFEC Summer Cup – a summer of training, progression, fun and competition exclusively for RFEC members!

The Summer Cup includes training sessions in:
🐴 Showjumping
🐴 Dressage
🐴 Cross Country

Plus our RFEC Summer Cup Championship - your chance to put everything you've learned into practice and celebrate your achievements.

We’ll also be running our Mini Cup Series for younger riders with weekly challenges, points and prizes along the way!

This week in the BHS Challenge Awards, we focused on horse identification. Participants learned how to identify horses by their colours, facial markings, and leg markings, as well as recognising the main parts of the horse and the different parts of the hoof. The session helped develop knowledge and confidence in correctly describing and identifying horses.🐴

Next week, we’ll be exploring horse health, horse fitness, and the different types and uses of horse rugs. 💭

Meet Charlie Brown🤎🐴

Charlie is our newest addition here at RFEC, and we’re really excited to have him with us. He’s come to us from our vet and was looking for a slightly quieter, more relaxed life, which we’re really happy to be able to give him. He’s 16 years old and stands at 16hh, a proper gentle giant with the sweetest nature.🫶 You’ll start to see him popping up in lessons over time, and for now he’ll be working in at advanced level while he settles in and gets to know everyone. We’re sure some of you may have already met him in lessons already 👀
