Well done to everybody involved, this was such a special day and turned out to be a fantastic experience for all involved.

On Saturday, August 29, the Bolton Walking and Outdoors Appreciation Society held a memorial walk in honour of Steven Carter, who died in Decemberโ€ฆ

Really cool to hang out at ๐–๐ข๐ฅ๐ญ๐จ๐ง ๐…๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ this weekend - the UK's biggest free climbing festival, which was held near Belmont village close to Bolton in Lancashire.

There was so much going on and the volunteers and BMC staff behind the scene deserve a massive round of applause for bringing people from all over the country together.

WEDNESDAY 9th SEPTEMBER - Peel Tower from Irwell Works Brewery.

โ›ฐ Didn't exactly summit Holcombe Hill but Peel Tower is at 340m.

๐Ÿฅพ Just over 6km, or just over 3.5, with 200m ascent.

โฑ 1 hour 45 minutes.

A fantastic autumn trek with some urban paths, beautiful stretches of woodland and a clamber up to Peel Tower, which is a superb moorland vantage point with views far and wide. It was a proper decent walk and really nice to see everybody. Cheers to all who were able to attend and hope you all had a great time!
