One of the things we love about The Den is just how different the room can look depending on the occasion.

From birthdays and family celebrations to presentations, charity nights, meetings and private functions — it’s a bright, flexible space that can be dressed to suit pretty much whatever you have planned.

And yes… it looks considerably less like a rugby clubhouse once someone puts the tablecloths on. 😂

Venue hire from £100 for members / £150 for non-members.

We’ve still got selected Friday and Saturday dates available between now and Christmas, as well as bookings being taken for 2027.

And no—you don’t need to know the rules of rugby, or be a club member, to hire it! 😉

💷 Standard venue hire – £150
🦁 Westhoughton Lions member hire – £100*

Your hire includes the room, tables and chairs, use of our fully licensed bar, free on-site parking, Wi-Fi, AV facilities and help setting up the room immediately before your event.

From birthdays and anniversaries to christenings, celebrations of life, meetings and community events — The Den is yours to make your own.

You might recognise the place… but perhaps not the name!

We’re giving our clubhouse and function space its own identity — The Den at Westhoughton Lions.

The idea is simple. We already have a fantastic space here at the club, and we want more people in Westhoughton and the surrounding area to know that it’s available for much more than rugby.
