Alot of stressed kids going into school this morning and some taking it in their stride.
They've had months of preparation, practice papers sent home, additional lessons given before, during and after school, all to give better results.
Your results don't matter!! They don't effect you or your high school places.
Wishing all year 6 all the best for this week, not for the results but for you. Please try your best not to worry or let them spoil your week.

Today was officially our last competitive game of the season. We went out of our leagues cup unfortunately to a very competitive team.
It was a nail biting game, 9 goals being scored and only one goal in it in the end.
Our girls had a fantastic game, if not their best.
They all worked really hard, showed some amazing team work and skill.
They kept coming back but unfortunately so did our opponents.

Today we said good bye to 2 great players, Phoebe and Penny to move forward and enjoy new challenges. They have both been a pleasure to coach.
Phoebe also brought cakes for the girls, how fab are these, mossbank cakes!

Bring on our summer training getting ready for the new season ahead 💪

We're still on the look out for new girls to join our already fab bunch with the Avengers family.

I'm almost a week late with this. I got delayed then thought I had done it!
Our girls played their last game of the season last Sunday. It wasn't the score we wanted but we still had a great game.
Evoe was voted girl of the match for being an amazing wall in defense. Week in and week out she never falters, but in this game she really put her shift in, stopping the attackers in their tracks with some amazing tackles.
Well done Evie 👏

This season has had its ups and downs like every year.
Going into our next season we will be staying in the section we were promoted to last year 💪
The girls definitely deserve to stay, they worked hard to get here.
We will be starting the season with new players and are still looking for new players to join us to train through summer, play friendlies in preparation for the new season.
We are saying goodbye to 4 players this season, moving on to new ventures, I wish them all the best in the future and they've all been amazing additions to our Avengers family.

Our girls battled it out today against a much higher up team to ourselves today. They haven't had much ball time over Easter but today they were definitely better than last week with more energy and team play.
We didn't win but the score could have been alot worse than it was.

Girl of the match went to Ruby, she definitely brought the energy as always. She just didn't stop, Ruby was breaking up play all over the field, helping in defense, midfield and on the break 💪

Our girls had their first outing out today in 4 weeks!!
Our fixtures were changed, bad weather and Easter have held us off, so today was just a return game and we won't mention the score 🙈

No instructions given today about their play or what was needed. Just to ease themselves in, communicate and have fun!

We had some great individual plays and some small link ups, they didn't give up even when some heads dropped and didn't stop fighting.

Girl of the match went to Annabell, ever other touch got the ball down the field and the others stopped them in their tracks.
We got some fantastic pics from maccabi too 👍

Sorry I'm late with report from Sunday.

Mossbank Avengers worked really hard on Sunday but just couldn't play their own game against our opponents.
They started very even in the first half but unfortunately we lost the game in the second.
However... they still kept fighting with some great saves from caitlin our goalkeeper, one to the face leaving a lovely muddy ball print 😁.
They also started to communicate a lot in the game, a lot of instruction and runs which was great to see.
They all tried their hardest and worked as a team and regardless I was still proud.
Their heads didn't go down and still ended with smiles.
Girl of the match went to Danielle who's made big strides in confidence and development on the pitch this season working in defense. She stopped 3 big strikes from getting near the goal.
Well done Danielle 👏 and girls .

Mossbank Avengers didn't have a fixture this weekend so we had a game against an A section team, we're section C.
Wow what a game. We were 3-0 down at half time with a very quick 4th goal from them as soon as the whistle blew for the second half.
Our girls made a great comeback, found their stride, picked up the pace and brought it back to 4-3, unfortunately a penalty sealed it ending the game in 5-3 to Ramsbottom.
It was a great game, very competitive and fun for the girls.

Girl of the match went to Olivia, she had a good start to her game today making some good strong tackles. Well done Olivia 👏

Our Avengers were out at it again today against Radcliffe. A team that has beaten all of our rivals and boy what a game it was.
Extremely tense, we scored, they scored, we scored ending in a 4-3 win to us.
We followed the FA guidance doing a silent sidelines for parents only but it was pretty much a silent one for us coaches.
They just played their own game, read the game brilliantly, adjusted when needed, worked fantastic as a team, had fun, communicated and just bossed it.
One thing these girls have is a fantastic bond and it really does show on the pitch. They keep their heads up, if they concede they tell the keeper good try, praise each other and crack on to get it back.
Today they made all the right runs, all the right passes, and filled all the right spaces. We'll done girls, you should be proud.

Girl of the match went to phoebe. She works hard and trys her hardest week in and week out. She assists in most goals scored, helps in defense, is fantastic is midfield and scores her own fair share too.
She always wants to do better every week. She comes to me before games and says I want to do this, I want to do that and she goes on and try it. She gives great team talks, sets play up with players and encourages them all. She is a fab captain to them all.

Fantastic game this morning girls. Everything worked for us, they all tried hard and worked great together.
Just a few pointers given before the game, they listened and pulled it off. Great game to watch yet again.
Fantastic win 4-0 🏆

Girl of the match went to penny, not only did she get a hat trick but she worked immensely hard to get the goals. Well done 👏

Our attacks were fantastic to watch with some great passing and team work then getting back to defend was quicker than some previous games with a solid defense today. 👍
Well done girls 👏
