FULL TIME | 2-3 ❌

The lads worked their socks off in Thursday night’s final game of the season despite a depleted squad.

We started brilliantly and went 2-0 up thanks to a superb brace from Nathan L ⚽️⚽️

The opposition pulled one back from the penalty spot just before the break, which shifted the momentum. They found an equaliser early in the second half before grabbing the winner in the final 20 minutes.

We had a chance to level things up from the spot ourselves, but it wasn’t to be.

Ultimately, we lost to the better team on the night, but the lads certainly made them work for it.

Super proud of this group and the progress made this season — massive improvement from last campaign. A couple of weeks off now before preparations begin for next season.

The lads dug deep, but it wasn’t to be.

A lovely run in the opening 30 minutes from Nathan L saw him dance past the opposition full-back before being brought down in the box for a penalty. Aiden calmly slotted it away ⚽️

Just before the break, we conceded a scrappy equaliser after the ball deflected in off the post.

The second half was a frustrating one, with very little going our way. We hit the post twice, saw a couple of efforts cleared off the line, and had to deal with some extremely poor refereeing decisions.

We can still hold our heads high after a fantastic season, even if we’ve just fallen short at the last. Attention now turns to Thursday night’s game against Pemberton as we look to finish the season on a high.

Disappointing result but 1st half positives where there again , a depleted squad on the day against a strong Brookvale side we go again in the week on Thursday evening 🍊💪

The 1st team produced a strong performance to run out 2–1 winners against Standish Park Rangers this morning, despite going into the match with a heavily depleted squad.

We started the game on the front foot and controlled much of the first half, creating numerous chances through good attacking play and movement. The pressure paid off when Nathan opened the scoring following a well-worked move, finishing confidently after an assist from Giannis. Nathan continued to look dangerous and came close to adding a second before the break, with a number of efforts narrowly missing the target.

The second half proved to be a more evenly contested affair, with Standish Park Rangers growing into the game and eventually finding an equaliser midway through the half. To the team’s credit, the response was immediate and full of determination. Not long after conceding, Nathan broke free once again, and Cooley showed great composure to chip the goalkeeper from 18 yards, restoring our lead.

From there, the team showed excellent resilience, organisation, and teamwork to see out the match and secure a well-deserved victory. It was a fantastic collective display, particularly given the challenges faced with squad availability.

FULL TIME: 3–0 WIN ✅

A strong performance from the team today as we ran out 3–0 winners with a professional display from start to finish. 💪⚽

An early penalty save from Jamie gave us the wake-up call we needed, and we responded immediately — winning a penalty of our own that Aiden confidently placed to the keeper’s left to open the scoring.

A red card for the opposition allowed us to dictate the game and control large periods, showing some brilliant passages of play throughout.

Our second came from a direct ball forward from Jamie that the opposition centre-back misread, allowing Nathan to calmly finish from the edge of the box.

Just before half-time, Aiden produced a superb run past three players, and after his shot was blocked, Josh reacted quickest to power the ball home from close range.

The second half was calmly managed, with the team controlling possession and limiting the opposition to very few chances.

A great team performance and another clean sheet to build on. 👏
