Farnworth Runners

We are an unaffiliated running group of friends who meet regularly for social runs.
We don’t have run leaders or appointed first aiders.
We usually meet at the de havilland club on Gladstone Road around 6-15/6-30 but there are times when we meet elsewhere (we have a WhatsApp group to arrange things).
We don’t have changing facilities but the club are okay with us using the toilets.
Our group is mixed ability and we are a supportive group - usual runs are between 5 km and 10 km
We are a 18+ group.

Just over 4 years ago Grant and I moved to Farnworth and saw the need for a free, inclusive running group in the community. We posted an ad on Facebook asking if anyone would like to run with us....a few days later our running journey with some amazing people began and Farnworth Runners was born. Many new runners have since joined and as Grant and I now relocate, we are handing over to the team that have been incredible in taking the group forward the last while. I'm so proud of the difference this group has made and continues to make in each other's lives and here in Farnworth. Farnworth Runners will always have a special place in our hearts. Shaleen

Couch to 5k.....Starting Monday 18 March, 6.45pm, De Havilland car park. Meeting weekly on Mondays with 2 additional 'homework' runs to be completed prior to each following Monday. PM us for more information and to register.
