Chesterfield TFC and North East Midlands Senior Subbuteo League are delighted to announce Santiago Table Soccer as title sponsor for this season's Old Subbuteo Challenge Cup. Santiago owner Mark Parker is pictured with club organiser Andrew Forster-Fake at the competition launch at today's Renishaw Collectors' Fair.
The deal will see Santiago provide permanent winner and runner-up trophies alongside the existing annual trophies, as well as some special extra prizes. Santiago are the leading supplier of "retro" figures and their component parts and of course these figures are eligible for the competition.
The Old Subbuteo Challenge Cup, which is part of the ESA's national Old Subbuteo circuit, takes place at the Renishaw and Spinkhill Community Hall, just a mile from Junction 30 of the M1, on Sunday 17th May 2026. The day includes main and plate competitions, as well as the Renishaw Trophy, which this time features the rare 6-a-side "Indoor Edition" game.

The league celebrated the end of its fourth season with an excellent Finals Night at the Gate in Awsworth, Nottinghamshire.
Brian Kinrade took the big prize on the night, the Challenge Cup, beating Colin Fletcher in a tense shootout, following a 0 - 0 draw.
Colin retained the Nottinghamshire Cup against Trevor Allen, again in a tight shootout.
Top goalscorer on the night was Dave Collett, who added the Derbyshire Cup and the Challenge Plate to his recent League Championship.
NEMSSL is a traditional "home-based" league with members each hosting one or two meetings over the season. Players are drawn from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and, with a mix of modern and "flats" in use, TSPA rules allow for the most even competition.
