Hey all. Finally some time to post a few picks from the Scottish packraft meet 2025. it was a great event met a loads of great guys. U unfortunately my tennis elbow did not allow me to paddle so i sat by the river and enjoyed guys tackling the Grandtully rapids.
Don't forget to get in touch if you're looking for a adventure or a unique present maybe. Its been a very dry year so far but the rivers are filling now and it is the perfect time get out and try something new, or just come and enjoy a day on the water. The autumn colours along the Spey are starting to get beautiful.

And here is a video from the two week epic of guiding. If you fancy your own adventure just get in touch!!!

Hello all long time no see.
Reason for that were two weeks guiding a great bunch of guys from Czech republic around some beautiful spots in Scotland.
First four days were spent on river Spey. This was almost a smooth sailing except the first day/ After 30km paddling day and about 10 minutes from a camp spot we had to bail out and make run for home. The winds have suddenly brought smoke from the big wildfires we recently had and within 15 minutes whole valley along the river was covered in heavy smoke. luckily the smoke has cleared by the morning and we rejoined the river and successfully managed to paddle in to the sea at Spey Bay.
Next it was northbound to isle of Skye where we spent two nights at two different bothies. 3 days spent hiking muddy trail paddling in wind and also enjoying a nice warm Coruisk hut.
After that it was Loch Maree and couple of nights at big sands campsite. And finally a windy but beautiful two days of paddling Loch Glencoul from Kylesku. Great two weeks with great people!!!

Decisions, decisions...
So instead of two nights at Loch Quoich i decided to cut the trip short. Beautiful paddle in, found a nice spot on the island and had a great evening. Today went for a paddle before lunch and noticed the winds had pick up sooner that expected. Within an hour i started noticing white cups in the middle of the loch and knowing the winds are meant to get stronger i had to make a hard decision and pack and return to my car. It was an interesting paddle back in 3 foot waves but we managed. It really pays to check the weather before the trip and be able to make those decisions on the spot. Some lochs have a big fetch area and so even lighter winds can gradually whip up some big waves. Btw Leeloo the dog loved it, she an outdoor ju**ie 😊
