A big week of cricket saw 3/4 BCC wins!

Yesterday the 1s took it close again at Alnmouth. A ropey chase of 115 left it up to Sachin and Sam to finish the job. They did this in style, with Coser hitting a big bomb for the winning runs. POTM Sachin for huge contributions with bat and ball!

The 2s were beaten by 2 wickets at home to Stobswood. POTM Andrew Bower for a solid knock.

Two big Ws in the week coming courtesy of the U19s, who progress to the next round of the national, and the midweeks who defeated Hexham Leazes in a clinical performance.

Another successful weekend for BCC 🏏

The 1s pulled off an unforgettable win at Plessey Road yesterday. We started off in trouble at 29/5 until key partnerships from the lower order propelled us to 155 all out. Ashton was the mainstay making a composed 78 off 74 before running out of partners. Thom and Mo also played what turned out to be crucial knocks of 20 and 16 in this low scoring affair. We started off well in the second innings which left Allendale at 42/5 however some resistance from the oppo left us in a situation where Allendale required 2 runs to win whilst 9 down. The duo of Harry and moey kept their cool to seal 28 points for BCC ? Half of the wickets were shared around while the other half taken by Ashton (5-41) cementing his performance as one of the best at Plessey Road in recent history.

Unfortunately, the 2s were not in action this week due to the oppo conceding. This means 30 more points for the 2s maintaining their unbeaten record and position at top of the table.

Thank you to Jonny Miller for sponsoring the match!
