🎯 August at Bebside Sporting Clays… because apparently one shoot a month just isn’t enough! 🎯

If your other half asks what you’re doing this August… just tell them you’re “supporting local sport.” No need to mention how many cartridges you’ll be getting through! 😆

We’ve got a cracking month lined up…

📅 Sunday 9th August – 60 Sporting Members Trophy Shoot
🏆 60 sporting targets over 8 stands, with the Members Trophy up for grabs.

We’ll also have our ever-popular 25 Sportrap, with a cash prize for anyone who manages the magical 25/25. It’s been known to happen… although usually after someone says, “I haven’t been shooting very well lately!” 🤣

📅 Sunday 23rd August – Bebside Tri County Team Shoot
We’re proud to welcome teams from Northumberland, Durham and Cumbria for the 3rd Annual Tri County Team Shoot.

Teams of five will battle it out for:
🏆 High Gun
🏆 Highest Combined Team Score
🏆 Highest Score in the 100-Target Team Flush

This shoot has gone from a good idea over a cuppa to one of the highlights of our calendar, growing bigger and better every year. County pride is on the line… and there’ll be plenty of friendly banter to go with it!

📅 Bank Holiday Monday 31st August – 100 Target Open Shoot
No better way to round off the month than with our 100 Target Open Shoot.

💰 Cash prizes for the top three shooters on the day, with more prizes added depending on entries.

Whether you’re coming to lift a trophy, win a few quid, settle a score with your shooting mates, or just enjoy a great day at the club, we’d love to see you.

So dust off your shooting vest, make sure you’ve packed enough cartridges (you’ll definitely need more than you think! 😜), and come and join us for what’s shaping up to be one of the best months we’ve had at Bebside.

If you’ve never been to Bebside Sporting Clays… what’s stopping you? 🤔

Is it because you’ve heard we’re too friendly? (Guilty as charged! 😄)

Is it because our targets are actually entertaining and challenging, with a different layout every shoot, so you can’t blame last week’s excuses? 🎯

Is it the chance of smashing the Flash Clay Pool and walking away with a few extra quid? 💥

Or maybe it’s because you fancy taking on the Sportrap for a chance to win £250? 💷

Or perhaps it’s simply because it’s incredible value…
✅ Members: just 18p per clay
✅ Non-members: only 24p per clay

Whether you’re a seasoned shot or someone who still points at the wrong pigeon (don’t worry, we’ve all been there!), you’ll find a warm welcome, plenty of laughs, and a cracking day out.

🌧️ Bebside Sporting Clays – What a Day! 🌧️

Well… whoever was responsible for today’s weather owes us all a new set of waterproofs! 🌧️🤣

Despite the rain doing its absolute best to wash us all back to the clubhouse, 36 hardy shooters turned out for today’s 50 Sporting. The weather was miserable from start to finish, with spells of what can only be described as biblical rain, but the banter, laughs and good spirits more than made up for it. It’s safe to say we were all wetter than the ducks… and some of the ducks looked concerned!

We also wrapped up our Summer Sportrap League, where your best 3 scores from 4 shoots counted towards the final standings.

🏆 C Class Champion: Chris Burke – 42

💷 Summer Sportrap cash prizes will be paid out at our next shoot, so don’t spend it before you’ve got it! 😄

A massive thank you goes to our brilliant volunteers who set the course out this morning and then packed everything away in conditions that were, at times, absolutely torrential. Standing around getting soaked so everyone else can enjoy a day’s shooting isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, but without you, none of this would happen. We really do appreciate every one of you. 👏❤️

And finally, thank you to everyone who came along today. Whether you shot a blinder, had one of those days you’d rather forget, or simply turned up for the crack, you helped make another great day at Bebside.

Tomorrow’s the day! 🎯

If your idea of a perfect Sunday involves good company, plenty of laughs, and trying to convince everyone that you definitely “just got underneath that one”… then Bebside Sporting Clays is the place to be! 😄

🕙 Shooting starts at 10:00am

We’ve got 50 sporting targets over 6 stands, packed with a fantastic mix of challenging and entertaining presentations. Whether you’re chasing a new personal best or just hoping to hit more than you miss, there’s something for everyone!

🏆 It’s also the final round of our Summer Sportrap League, and it’s incredibly tight at the top in every class. With cash prizes still up for grabs, there’s everything to shoot for and plenty of excitement to come!

💰 Think you’ve got what it takes to shoot the perfect round? Anyone who manages a flawless 25/25 on the Sportrap will take home our club-funded jackpot of £245! No pressure… just don’t miss! 😉

If you’re able to lend a hand, we’d really appreciate it. The gates will be open from 8:30am for any members who can spare a bit of time to help with the setup.

Finally, a huge thank you to all of our volunteers. ❤️ Bebside Sporting Clays is run entirely by volunteers who give up their time to make sure everyone has a brilliant day. Quite simply, we couldn’t do it without them.

🎯 Another Brilliant Day at Bebside Sporting Clays! 🎯

What a cracking day we’ve had at Bebside Sporting Clays!

A fantastic turnout once again with 49 Sporting entries, 22 ABT entries, and 24 Sportrap entries. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the club. It was great to hear so much positive feedback about the targets, and even better to see plenty of new faces on the ground. We hope you all had a great day and we’ll see you back again soon!

A huge shout-out goes to non-member Ian Mullarkey, who turned up and showed the rest of us how it’s done by shooting a perfect 50/50 in the ABT! 👏 We might have to start checking visitors’ gun slips before they get out of the car! 😄

Ian also came heartbreakingly close to taking home the £240 prize for a perfect 25/25 on the Sportrap, finishing on a superb 24/25. Just one target short… we’re convinced that last clay saw his scorecard and made a run for it! 😂

🎯 Tomorrow at Bebside Sporting Clays (Sunday 12/7/26) – here’s what’s waiting for you…

If you’re planning on sitting in the garden tomorrow, think again… we’ve got 125 competition-standard targets lined up for the princely sum of just £23 for members. Where else are you getting that sort of value these days? Certainly not the pub! 🍺

🔸 50 Bird ABT Trophy Shoot – £9 for members
Open to everyone, but remember only club members are eligible to win the trophies in each class, which will be presented at next year’s AGM in February. Bragging rights start tomorrow… the trophy comes later.

🔸 Summer Sportrap League – Round 3 – £5 for members
It’s getting tight at the top of the leaderboard, so there’s still everything to shoot for. Bring your A-game… or at least your B-game if the A-game is still in bed!

Don’t forget our club-funded prize for anyone shooting a perfect 25/25. That’s open to members and non-members, so no excuses. (No pressure… but we’ve already spent the prize money.)

🔸 50 Bird Sporting Practice – £9 for members
Six stands packed with a fresh set of entertaining, testing and occasionally confidence-destroying targets. I pinched plenty of inspiration from Thursday’s trip to the British Open Super Sporting, remember one score card will be drawn at random for a free round.

Wor Bob has abandoned us for a holiday (the cheek of it!), so we’re a pair of hands short for setting up. If any members can spare a couple of hours in the morning, we’d really appreciate the help.

There’s still time to get your name down for our ABT Trophy Shoot, so if you’re thinking about it… stop thinking and get booked on! 😄

It’s also Shoot 3 of our Summer Sportrap League, and things are getting very interesting. The leaderboard is tight, and there’s still a £240 prize up for grabs for the first person to shoot a perfect 25/25. 💰

David Blackburn got everyone excited by coming painfully close last time… but can he keep his nerve and finish the job this week, or will someone else pinch the cash? 👀

Not an ABT or Sportrap shooter? No problem! Our 50 Sporting course will be running as usual, meaning you can enjoy 125 varied, entertaining and challenging targets across the day. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re chasing silverware, chasing that elusive straight, or just chasing your mates around the ground! 😅

So dust off the gun, pack plenty of cartridges (and excuses!), and come and join us for a great day’s shooting.
