Keeping young people in Blyth and the surrounding areas in shape with our boxing fitness classes.

06/08/2026

At King St Boxing we will be looking to work closely within Blyth and the surrounding areas and have opened a community interest company to help encourage less fortunate or vulnerable people from our community to come along and use the facilities , train, join mentoring sessions and have safe warm space to visit.

This does not affect any of the King St Boxing timetable or sessions.

K St Boxing CIC at (King St Boxing & Fitness).

Our mission is to create and maintain a safe, welcoming and consistent community hub for the people of Blyth and the surrounding areas, using boxing, fitness and mentoring to positively engage young people.

Our initial focus is on young people who may be vulnerable, at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, attending alternative provision, or in need of additional guidance and support.
We hope to work closely with Blyth Town Council, Northumberland County Council, local schools, alternative education providers, Northumbria Police and other community organisations to identify and refer young people who would benefit from our programme.

Our aim is to provide free mentoring and practical boxing and fitness sessions, giving young people a safe environment where they can develop valuable life skills while improving their physical and mental wellbeing.

Through regular attendance, participants will develop:

Self-discipline
Focus and concentration
Confidence and self-esteem
Self-control, mental & emotional resilience
Motivation and goal setting
Healthy daily routines
Respect for themselves and others
Teamwork and communication skills

Beyond the coaching sessions themselves, we want K St Boxing CIC to become a trusted place where young people know they are always welcome.

They will have access to a warm, safe and supervised environment, free refreshments, qualified coaches and mentors, and somewhere they can talk openly about any challenges they may be facingβ€”or simply have a friendly conversation away from negative influences.

Our long-term ambition is to help reduce anti-social behaviour, improve community wellbeing and give young people positive opportunities that can have a lasting impact on their future.

All K St Boxing CIC sessions will work around current training times and will not affect current members training times at King St Boxing.
