It's been a hectic week trying to get organised for this weekend's home club match against Abbey Hill. So apologies for this late post. Last Saturday we had a decent turn out and 3 guy's had a 2, well done Paul lines Haydn Jenkins & Mark ford 👏. Coming 3rd with a respectable 37 points was our club secretary Mark Hodges
2nd & 1st spot was only decided on c/b both scoring 38 points. Knocked down into second place was Mark King and the winner of the day was Mark Ford 👏👏 well fone all.
As I said at the start we will be hosting Abbey Hill at home on Saturday I'm hoping home advantage plays it's part 🤞

Saturday's game was a bit wet but we managed to finish before the heavens really opened up. Getting the only 2 of the day was Paul lines 👏 not being out done by your son eh Paul. Coming 3rd on c/b with 37 points was myself. Pipped to second spot by my partner in pairs comps Jay mercer.
But the winner on the day smashing it uo with 43 points was Martin new aka nuisance well done champ 👏👏

The men's open. A tough trophy to win, pairs better ball front 9 and greensome's on the back 9. We had 17 teams involved and there really wasn't much in it.... coming third on c/b with 43 points was Martin new aka nuisance & Paul climo ( bottom left)good knock boy's. Just pipping them to second spot on c/b was jack whitehead and jake Barton 2 new members one of which jake Barton only got his handicap on Monday after putting his third card in with us on Sunday. What a great start for you both your first pairs comp and coming second to 2 of our best players is massive 👏.
And the winners were.... Henry Reddin & Gary Roche. Henry played off 4.5 and Gary off 8.4 to amass 44 points there was some excellent golf played well done boy's 👏👏, you make a great team and will be pivotal in my team when we take on Abbey Hill at home in September.

A decent turn out for Saturday's Stableford and despite the leaves there were some decent scores come in. But its great to see young Tommy lines winning his share of the 2's pot on his first outing with us this year wel done Tommy 👏coming 3rd with 37 points playing off 11 was Gary Roche great knock buddy. 2nd spot was our vice captain Steve rideout with 38 points good to see you hitting a bit of form buddy.
But today's winner and good friend was dean mcbroom with 40 points he spent an hour up the range before getting his swing together and it paid off well done deano 👏.
This coming Saturday we have the men's open our last major pairs comp. Good luck to everyone involved 🙏
