It was our committee meeting last night with three new committee members - we're up to full strength now. Congrats to our men's team who beat Lacey Green and Loosely Row Tennis Club yesterday 6-2. We had perfect conditions for the match and a very sporting and friendly opposition, and with tea and cake in the clubhouse afterwards, we had a great afternoon. We had a fantastic night at The Boot Pub last Friday for our annual dinner and awards. Thank you to Davide, Elliot and the team at the pub for the delicious food and great service!

Our very first junor clubnight was a great success last Wednesday! Head Coach James Woodwards from JWT Coaching took our older juniors through various fun games and activities. These are all aimed at improving the juniors' tennis whilst having fun! The pizza in the clubhouse all disappeared very quickly too! If you have an 11-17 year old who would like to join in, non-members are welcome to a taster session at no charge and then we ask them to join the club. Please get in touch with Ben on 07909 976725 if you'd like to find out more and to register your place. The sessions take place every Wednesday evening between now and December 17th from 5-6pm.

We had a really great day at our men's and ladies' doubles tournament on a beautiful day on Sunday. We had 24 entries which meant 31 sets to be played, and we had a great buzz from various friends and family who turned up to support as well! Congratulations to our winners - mother and daughter pair Clare and Natasha Rogers won the ladies, and Stefano Tomaselli and Ben Lawrence won the men's for the second year running. Runners up were Sara Evans and Leonie Coveney, and Stephen Davidson and Adam Kelly. Thanks to Jane, Jane, Jo, Natalia and George who prepared the wonderful lunch!
