📢 Your Tennis Club Needs You!!!
Sunday 14th June 12-4pm
Our new chair, (Ian Pearson-Brown) is recruiting anyone who uses Blaydon TC.
Our courts look fantastic but some areas of the club are looking a little neglected and overgrown. This is mainly due to the fact we have lots of people who use the facility but very few volunteers to help us run it.
Chair Ian and Captain Michael Farrey are going to run and supervise an afternoon of weeding, trimming, cleaning and tidying. If you can spare even an hour of your time to come and help us that would be fantastic. Many hands make light work. If just 5% of our members and visitors turn up we would have an army of 30 plus volunteers to help us give the place a fresh and tidy look.
Ian has played at the club since he was 9, been a volunteer since he was 14 and a coach since he was 16. Now he needs

to arm yourselves with mowers, trimmers, brushes and dusters.
‘It would be a wonderful way of saying ‘thanks’ to see our members give up a little time to lend a hand, and support the committee who already give up so much to run the club for them.
We are a community amateur sports club, and it would be fantastic to see the BTC tennis community come together. You can let Ian or Michael know you're coming in advance or just turn up on the day. Some tools will be provided, but if you can bring your own from home, even better!
We will have teas, coffees and juice for all volunteers, and as an incentive, anyone who comes and helps will be put in a draw for the chance to win a FREE 1-1 lesson with me.’
