Worried your baby might cry at Baby & You Yoga? 👶💕

Don’t be! Crying, feeding, sleeping, nappy changes and needing cuddles are all part of the class. There’s no judgement and no pressure — baby leads the way. ❤️

So, what do we get up to?

🌿 Move and connect with your baby
👶 Gentle movement for baby
🧘‍♀️ Movement for you, with your postnatal body in mind
✨ Time to relax together
☕ And afterwards, stay for a cuppa in the café and get to know the other parents and babies.

It’s fun, relaxed and curious, with plenty of opportunity to enjoy time with your baby while also doing something lovely for yourself.

Five years ago I started teaching Yin classes and they’re still going strong. In fact did you know there are two chances each week to join in this more floor based, relaxing and calming class. Wednesdays at 7.15pm and Thursday at 7pm. There’s a couple of space left, website is still the same and you can find out more and book there.

“But what if my baby cries?” 👶💛

Then your baby cries! And that’s absolutely OK.

Baby & You Yoga is a relaxed, welcoming class where baby sets the pace. There’s no expectation for them to lie quietly for an hour — they can sleep, feed, have a nappy change, need a cuddle or have a little wobble. You simply do whatever you and your baby need. ❤️

So, what actually happens in a class?

🌿 Move together – gentle, playful movement for you and your baby.

👶 Move baby – simple activities and movements that you guide baby through on the mat.

🧘‍♀️ Move you – gentle movement designed with consideration for your body as it recovers after birth.

✨ Relax – some lovely quiet time to breathe, unwind and enjoy being together.

☕ Connect – after class, stay for a cuppa in the café and enjoy the company of the other parents and babies from your class.

There’s plenty of fun, curiosity and exploration along the way — but absolutely no pressure to get it “right”.

Just come as you are, baby included. 💕

On Sunday 13th September some Superstar Yogis and I are taking part in the Beatson’s big yellow yoga stretch to help raise funds for their Beatson Cancer Charity Wellbeing Centre.

It’s a hope you never need to know or use these type of facilities but if we do, their work is amazing.

Why should you try a relaxing Yin Yoga class?

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to …slow down. 🌿

My Yin Yoga sessions are a gentle, calming practice where we hold supported poses for longer periods, giving your body time to soften and your mind space to quieten.

It’s a beautiful opportunity to:
🧘‍♀️ Release tension and tightness
🌙 Calm a busy mind
💫 Slow down and reconnect with yourself
🌿 Give your nervous system a chance to rest
❤️ Simply pause, breathe and be

You don’t need to be flexible, experienced or “good” at yoga. You don’t even need fancy yoga pants - be comfortable. Yin is about listening to your body, letting go of expectations and allowing yourself to rest.

So if life has been feeling a little hectic lately, perhaps this is your invitation to press pause. 🕯️

Come as you are. Leave feeling a little softer, calmer and more connected. 💕
