⛳ DORSET CCC AUTUMN GOLF DAY 2026

The Dorset CCC Golf Day returns this autumn, bringing together clubs, players, supporters, businesses and familiar faces from across the game for a day around our County Club.

📍 The Dorset Golf & Country Club, Bere Regis
💷 £75 per person | £300 per team of four

Expect 18 holes of Four Ball Team Stableford, Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, Beat the Pro and other on-course challenges, with senior Dorset players and guests joining us across the day.

Your entry includes coffee and a bacon baguette on arrival, 18 holes on the Championship Courses and a two-course dinner, prizes and a raffle to finish.

Whether you’re entering with your club, business, friends or teammates, it’s a chance to compete, connect and spend the day with the people and personalities of Dorset cricket.

⏰𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄-𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄: 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬

The ECB Grass Pitch Improvement Fund (GPIF) is reopening for a limited application window from 28th September to 30th November 2026.

This fund helps clubs improve the quality of their grass pitches, but demand is expected to exceed the funding available, meaning only the strongest projects are likely to progress.

We know that:

✅ Funding is available for eligible projects
✅ Priority will given to high-impact proposals - that can deliver in a set timescale
✅ You must have a complete PitchPower Pro report required before applying

If your club is considering an application, NOW is the time to act as demand is set to exceed available funding.

We strongly encourage clubs to review the guidance and contact us as early as possible.

The Cricket Collective Awards give us a chance to recognise and celebrate those amazing people who make such a difference to our game and our communities.

Our new Super 1s Cricket sessions at Chapel Gate welcome young people with disabilities - come and give cricket a go! 🏏

There's still time to join Dorset Cricket's new Super 1s group, delivered in partnership with Lord's Taverners.

The sessions are for young people aged 12-25 that live with disabilities and who would like to try cricket in a relaxed and supportive environment.

No previous cricket experience is needed.

✅ LED lighting and insulation improvements
✅ Rainwater harvesting and irrigation solutions
✅ Flood resilience and drainage projects
✅ Water-saving facilities
✅ Electric ground care equipment and more

With increasing pressures from flooding, drought and rising energy costs, this is a fantastic opportunity to future-proof your club while supporting a more sustainable game. 🌱🏏

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲!

🔸4 different League Finals - Softball, Softball 100 Cup, Super 8's and T20.
🔸8 Teams
🔸76 Players
🔸4 Officials
🔸And approx. 200 spectators that enjoyed the cricket at Swanage Cricket Club on Sunday 6th September.

Congratulations to Dorset Cricket League for organising such an exciting day - it was the first time that 4 Women's Finals have been held at a Dorset venue on one day and it was superb!

Congratulations to all 8 teams for reaching the Finals: Bournemouth Cricket Club, Broadstone Cricket Club, Dorchester Cricket Club, Puddletown Cricket Club, Suttoners, Swanage Cricket Club and Witchampton Ladies Cricket Team.

And finally a massive THANK YOU to Tim and his team at Swanage Cricket Club for hosting a brilliant day - and Pete for baking cakes!

We set out to deliver a celebration of women’s cricket that connected grassroots with the professional game, inspired the next generation, and showed just how powerful women’s sport can be at bringing communities together.

We welcomed young girls from clubs and schools across the county to our Striide Girls Skills Festival, more than doubled our Interactive Zone, ran four brilliant panel discussions, delivered two networking events and took on Hampshire Women in a thrilling T20.

The moment that made it all worthwhile? A parent told us their daughter found the confidence to apply for our County Talent Pathway herself, after taking part in the Girls Skills Festival.

That’s not just a lovely story - it’s proof we’re inspiring the next generation of Dorset Cricket stars. And that’s just one we know about. 💛

Next year, we’re going bigger again - four Showcases: Seniors, Women & Girls, Men’s and Access. The bar just got higher, and we can’t wait.
