Tonight Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Club Over 35’s are in action in the East Region Challenge cup quarter final.

Penalty shootout heartache in the previous round against Dundee West sets up a 3rd competitive meeting of the season between Blair & St James Over 35’s Football Club at Davie Park.

A Scottish cup drubbing for Blair was followed by a hard fought 1-1 draw in the league, both in the City of Discovery.

A rare treat for Blair tonight getting to sample the delights of a home changing room as they look to get revenge on Jamesy’s for the earlier Scottish Cup defeat.

The leagues gone and we’re pumped oot the Scottish so this is the clubs only chance of getting silverware this season.

It looks like being a Braw night, so if yer no at the book signing in the main building, head to the sidelines and see the tactical magician Stephen Richmond in action.

Kick off is 19:30 and free entry for members of Mensa.

A word again for our title sponsors Mantalk, always working hard in the local area for men and their families.
It’s su***de prevention month which we’re sure everyone will be behind.
Head to ManTalks page and give them a like & share if you don’t already do so.

Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Club Over 35’s were delighted to be presented with two new match balls prior to our East Region Cup Preliminary tie against Fife side Lochore Swifts.

Stephen Souter, head honcho at Ardblair Outdoor Spaces was present to hand over one of the match balls, which is handy considering he was in the matchday squad.

Also representing Mantalk was Grahame Mustard to present us with another match ball, hopefully we’ll manage to keep a hold of both balls till the end of the season.

Everyone at BRCFC Over 35’s would like to thank Stephen & ManTalk for their generous ongoing support that allows us to continue to provide Over 35’s football in Blairgowrie and the surrounding area.

Some bad news coming out of Ged towers for our female followers as one of Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Club Over 35’s most eligible Bachelors is now officially off the market.

Congratulations to Stuart Hendry & Kris on their recent wedding.

Rumours that Celtic manager Martin O’Neill was due to be one of the witnesses, but pulled out due to not being able to commit to completing a signing are yet to be confirmed.

What a great day up in Inverurie for the Sunday Football Kickabout Tournament.
3 wins and a defeat in the group stage set up a final against North East Albion, last season champions, whom we’d beaten 1-0 in an earlier encounter.
The guys were the walking wounded heading into the final.
North East Albion fortunate to have a much younger squad were fresher for most of the game.
2-0 down, the game lost, and caution was thrown to the wind.
An absolute postage stamp pearler from Sean Malone got us back to 2-1 with 5 remaining.
Then a great long searching ball was knocked on for micro to tie the game.
Into pens and unfortunately after 3 attempts Blair failed to find the net.

Gutting to lose it in that way, but to come up with a bunch of auld boys and compete against the young guns was great.

Thanks to our hosts, as we await a slap up meal in Goals Aberdeen

Thanks to Mantalk for a shot of the bus & Sharpey for piloting the machine!

We’ve been MIA since the season commenced nearly 14 weeks ago.

We’ve been hiding in a huff cause it’s not been a “great” start to the 2026 campaign.
6 games, 31 goals conceded and only 3 scored it’s been grim reading from front to back.
Form that would even make Martin & Nancy wince!

In all seriousness we’ve been concentrating on some important work behind the scenes, while trying to improve things on the park instead of daft write ups, with varying success.

3 of our first 4 games were against the top 3 from last season and 3 heavy defeats knocked the stuffing out of the squad, sandwiched in there was a disappointing defeat up in Brechin.
Fitness, injuries and a disjointed performance meant defeat on the road against Hilltown, however our first goal of the season came in this game and it was a cracker from debutant David Gray(not that one)
The first 6 league games were wrapped up a couple weeks back with a 4-2 defeat in Dundee at East, goals from Breen & Millar on a night when the combined age of our back 3 was close to 150 and a stand in keeper.

We’ll forget about the league for the next wee while
Next up it’s of to Dundee again to play St James in the Scottish Cup, more on this to come.

Just 3 hours until the doors open at the Blairgowrie Bowling Club for tonight’s Blairgowrie & Rattray Community Club Over 35’s race night.

Loads of work gone on behind the scenes to ensure this is a success for the club and we’d appreciate any footfall through the door tonight.

If you’ve never been to a race night before, knowledge of horses is of absolutely not necessary. It’s a relaxed bit of fun, with a chance to win some cracking prizes on our raffle aswell.
Enough Alcohol to resurrect Oliver Reed, £50 John Lewis voucher, £50 M&S voucher with more to be added tonight all up for grabs

We’ve also got the chance in Race 7 for the winner of the race getting a fourball to Alyth Golf Club!
