As a rather special and memorable week for me and my PT business comes to an end โ I find myself in a reflective mood โ so I thought Iโd post two of my favourite quotes about exercise (โฆand dump all my thoughts whilst Iโm here๐๐ป)
When I first qualified as a Personal Trainer, I never ever imagined my career would turn out the way it has. Now that Iโm here, I wouldnโt change it in any way whatsoever.
I have a sporty background. My path into the fitness industry was bodybuilding-style training in a free weights gym at my hometown local leisure centre. Companies like GymShark were bursting onto the scene and YouTube fitness influencers were becoming โa thingโ.
That combined with completing a sports degree made me think I would end up working with athletes and fitness celebrities.
Fast forward to today, whilst I still enjoy doing bodybuilding-style training, my career as a PT couldnโt be further from it.
Instead, I now work with some of the most vulnerable people in social care.
I work with people at their own homes. At local parks. People who have families. Women who are pregnant. Couples who are getting married. People who have dogs that I become best friends with. ๐๐ถ
The fitness industry can often portray an image thatโs not palatable to all.
The truth though is that fitness is for absolutely everyone. Anyone and everyone.
We all have our own personal reasons for wanting to take part.
The wonderful thing about it is that it can be offered in all different shapes and sizes.
As the quote on the second image says, exercise changes your body and your mind.
Helping people through the transformation process will never get old. Ever.
Ultimately, Iโm just thankful Iโve been taken on the journey that I have in my career up to now.
To good health and fitness for all. ๐ฅ ๐
