Dear Friber,
I often speak of following your instincts. And as true as that might be, I learn daily that there are levels to listening!
For about a year and a half now, I’ve been in a season of getting to understand who I truly am. My true essence. Not the kind the world tells me, but the kind that my Creator knows me as.
To get to where I am, I first experienced betrayal. This led me to a place where I withdrew myself from the average social life.
I lost trust in even those who meant me well. Luckily for me, they were patient enough to stick around. A few seasons after this, I experienced grief. I lost two of the people that shaped my foundations.
Grief is one experience that cannot be truly explained in words but with it, comes life lessons that truly transform one as an individual.
In my season of wilderness, there I began to find my true self. This level was beyond personal development.
In my experience, I’ve noticed that no matter how many words of wisdom one shares, the devil knows your weaknesses and he’ll be waiting for you to act within the confinements of your weakness to catch you out.
For me this part was my identity. My foundations were faulty. As such, I cared for the opinion of individuals who are unawarely broken. If I’d known what I know now, gossip or people’s opinions would have never mattered. But the devil knew I was still in the early stages of self discovery and he capitalised on it.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but one thing I can assure you is that all things are truly working out for your good if you truly love God and yield to His leading.
As I begin this new season of my life, what matters most is what my Heavenly Father says.
Obedience has not been easy and I occasionally fall short but my heart is willing.
I will definitely disappoint some people and am learning that it’s okay.
My silence on here is not me forgetting my promises but rather building capacity to do it God’s way.
I have lives God is entrusting in my care and doing it the way the algorithm of life dictates in these times would be a grievous mistake on my part. So posts or no posts, I hope you stick around Friber.
With love,
