Most people think progress = the scale going down

Yes over time the scale WILL trend down however..

Your weight can stay the same while:
• You’re losing fat
• Building muscle
• Getting stronger

The scale doesn’t know:
• How much muscle you’re building
• How much water you’re holding
• How consistent you’ve been
• How your clothes fit
• How your performance is improving

And progress isn’t just having abs.
It’s strength, consistency, energy, confidence, and sustainability.

Building a better lifestyle one step at a time 🫵🏻

So you’re nailing everything and the scale number has gone up, don’t move the scale to a different tile (we’ve all done it) 🤣

Biceps aren’t built with fancy exercises.
They’re built with effort, consistency, and doing the basics properly.

Train hard.
Progress the weight or reps.
Eat enough to grow.
Repeat for months, not weeks.

Where it all started. (Checkout the phone) 🥴

17 years old to 34.

Some ups. Plenty of downs

At 17 I didn’t have a plan. (We never do) I didn’t know what I wanted to do or where I was going. I was happy to just get drunk, lift some weights, eat a lot of food and go out with the boys (best times ever)

Training became the one constant (eventually) 🤣

Over the years there were periods of discipline and periods of chaos. Wins, setbacks, and lessons learned the hard way. Progress was never linear.

What changed wasn’t motivation, it was perspective. I stopped chasing quick fixes and started building structure.

This post isn’t for validation. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and that not having it all figured out at the start doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Still learning. Still building. Still showing up.

A very conservative upper session today.

All week I’ve had a ni**le in my shoulder, so rather than forcing it or taking another full day off, I adjusted the plan:
• Reduced loads
• Controlled tempo
• No ego lifting

Recovery is moving in the right direction, and next week it’s reduced weight across the board before we build back up properly.

This is what 1% better every day actually looks like.

Not going backwards.
Not being reckless.

Just playing the long game so progress doesn’t get derailed.
