An afternoon of high drama on Britannia Fields but unfortunately the U-18 exit the Gwent Premier League Awards Company Youth Cup tie going out on penalties to the visitors Abercarn United youth.

A first half full of drama saw both teams go in level at the break 3-3. The second half saw both teams grab one more resulting in full time 4-4 and the game to then be decided on penalties.

Despite the defeat brilliant effort from all the lads today and plenty of positives to take forward 🙌🙌

The first team drew 1-1 this afternoon against Monmouth Town on Britannia Fields in the Autumn sunshine.

On another day the village could have taken the three points but some tremendous saves from the Monmouth keeper 🧤in the second half thwarted the village attack.

Kristian Powell on hand to give the village the lead in the first half 🙌 but Monmouth kept going and levelled proceedings on the 78th minute.

The reserves unfortunately exit the Roly Parfitt Cup 🏆 this afternoon going down to 1-0 away against Maesycwmmer FC seniors. A tough contest but the hosts dug deep to earn the win and we wish them all the best in the next round👍

The village secure the three points this afternoon against near neighbours Wattsville FC on Islwyn Road this afternoon. 💥 The lads created plenty of chances in the first half but only went in at the break 0-1 to the good.

But the lads kept the pressure up on the hosts and some cracking finishes saw the village score four more in the second half👍

A real squad effort today and immense all round. Thank you as always to our supporters who travelled over to support the lads appreciated as always🙌

Village goalscorers ⚽ today - Jamie Jones, Kristian Powell, Cory Lower, Cameron Dury, Aron Vaughan
