FYLDE ISRA OPEN 23/24 October 2021
1/32nd Round of the British ISRA Championship
The Fylde Club welcome you to compete at the very 1st open meeting apart from the Worlds & Worlds Warm-Up races to be run to ISRA rules in the UK. As previously announced this will be the 1st of 2 meetings to decide the British ISRA Champion. Our meeting will be to run the 2 1/32nd scale classes with a 2nd meeting at the National Centre for the 2 1/24th scale classes. All racers are welcome to compete & anyone who only wishes to race with British rules F1 & Sports Cars can do so but will just not score points for the ISRA championship. However everyone will need to have 0.8mm clearance at scrutineering as cutting less rubber away is no inconvenience!
Our circuit is 109 feet long with very wide lane spacing and no tricky twists & turns to learn so you can just concentrate on some great racing on this ever popular circuit.
The braid recess is 0.7mm with a very consistent power output & computerised race control.
Location
The club address is Unit E Ashleigh Mews (Entrance between 18 & 20 Woodlands Grove), Blackpool FY3 9HD. Free parking is available on the yard outside the clubroom.
Timetable
Saturday open practice 3.30pm until 7.30pm.
Saturday Evening social meal gathering approx. 8.30pm
Sunday 8.00 – 9.00am open practice with priority for Sunday arrivals
Sunday 9.00 - 10.00am F1 practice
Sunday 10.00 – 10.30am Tech
Sunday 10.30am Driver Brief followed by F1 racing start
Sunday following F1 racing 1 hour Sports practice, tech followed by Sports racing.
Race Format
Both classes will be 1 minute qualifying with fastest lap to count followed by 4 x 6 minute segment races. Win from any race.
Entries
Please note it will be a requirement as applied at the National Team Race that you may only attend if double vaccinated for Covid-19 unless exempted from vaccination or too young to have been given the chance. Evidence needs to be provided in advance of your status however those that provided this for the Clubman Nats / Team Race weekend do not need to do so again. Face coverings must also be worn except when at pit space or if vision impaired when driving. Please register with Steve Sargent at the email below in advance of the meeting if you intend to race & send a copy of proof of vaccination status if not already supplied.
Entry fees are £10 per class.
Accomodation
This is peak season in Blackpool so booking a hotel in advance is a good idea. Avoiding a hotel on the promenade is recommended as once dark it is very congested with Illuminations visitors.
Catering
We will have a selection of hot & cold & drinks, sandwiches, crisps & chocolate bars available throughout both days.
Conduct
We hope and expect not to issue warnings but will apply ISRA conduct rules for unsporting behaviour & foul language.
