END OF SEASON STATS | 🩵

Well, there we have it our 2nd season done as a club!

Take a look at some of the stats from this season with some very impressive numbers being thrown up from the lads making this season so memorable.🔥

Take a look at the clip in the second slide which has some of our best moments as a team this year and some very questionable ones as well. 🫣

MATCH REPORT | 🗞️

The lads came out the blocks very quickly and we found ourselves on the front foot for the opening 20 minutes.

We were awarded a penalty through a slip into an accidental handball from an AFC Inn Place player, which was calmly slotted away by our Top Goal Scorer Ollie Heywood which saw us take a 1-0 lead.

Our lead was doubled 5 minutes later through Freddy Livesey as a scramble inside the AFC Inn Place box was capitalised on by our Playmaker Of The Year as he smashed it off the post and into the opposite top corner to make it 2-0 very early on.

However, not long later AFC Inn Place managed to pull a goal back, through some good play down the right hand side which was finished off by the Inn Place attacker who rounded Joel and cooly slotted the ball into the goal to make it 2-1.

After a crazy 10-15 minutes the referee pointed to the spot and awarded a very questionable AFC Inn Place penalty which was put away by their number 7 which tied the game up with 25-30 minutes gone on the clock.

The rest of the first half was very end-to-end with both teams squandering numerous chances and either side could have gone into the break seeing themself a goal up but it wasn’t to be as 2-2 was the scoreline going into half-time.

The second half was nothing like the first as neither side had any opposing threat with both back lines on top form with the rest of the game being played in the middle of the park with some great battles and (man marking 😉).

With the game coming to a close, in the 84th minute Noah Maclaren picked up a loose ball in the middle of the park and he played a defense splitting ball to Freddy Livesey who drove into the box and knocked it across goal to Leeron to give AFC Highfield their name on the trophy.

An AFC Inn Place bombardment occurred into our box for the remaining 10 minutes or so as Zak Griffin blocked 2 shots from point blank range with his body along with some great game management from the lads which saw us over the line!

YES WE DID IT 🩵

I know it’s a day later than it should be but, here is the post you’ve all been waiting for…

AFC Highfield take down AFC Inn Place in the Division 1 Cup Final at Highbury Stadium! 🦁

After last year’s disappointing loss on penalties to Wyre the lads put it right this year and secured another piece of silverware for the cabinet. Fair play to Inn Place who made it a very tough game on the day and we wish you all the best for the upcoming season. 👏

Enjoy the celebrations that have been posted so far as we are currently in the process of receiveing pictures from the day, a full match report, end of season report, and individual rewards that were presented by Dom at the pub after the game.
