What a season opener! Our U11 Scorpions played out a high-speed thriller away at layton Blues. Fantastic work rate from the boys pressing hard, tracking back relentlessly, and creating lots of chances. Great start to the year! 🦂⚡

Our Player of the Match today goes to Alfie!
​In his very first season with the team, Alfie was an absolute powerhouse in midfield. He completely ran the show from the middle of the pitch, opening his scoring account. His tireless work rate box-to-box was incredible tracking back to defend and driving forward to create chances for the team. Brilliant performance, Alfie! 👏⚽

Our Parents' Player of the Match is Kai. Tasked with trying out a new position today, he adapted brilliantly. He was a constant threat up front, relentlessly pressing the defense, creating quality shooting opportunities,

Our under 12s were in action this morning against Elswick & Inskip Juniors Girls.

A great start to the season for the boys coming away with a 3-1 victory.

The game was a close one for about 20 minutes both teams battling for the ball and forcing both GKs into saves, one of which stand in GK Mo saved onto the post and the defence cleared to safety.

We took the lead from the penalty spot after Max was brought down in the box, Freddie P sending a powerful shot past the keeper who got a right hand to it.

Going into the 2nd half 1-0 up we were pushed back a bit and Elswick were able to level catching us on the break with a great finish from the striker.

We then pushed forward and quickly were back in the lead, from another Penalty after Zayd was fouled in the area, this time Vice Captain Jackson scoring into the bottom left corner.

Elswick were pushing for an equaliser and about 5 minutes from time we won a corner, Freddie P lofted a high cross to the back post and Max was alert to volley home from close range.

POTM today was Cam, was against a very strong and fast winger but matched her and dealt with the threats well, composed under pressure and was alert to clear one away with the goal gaping which he celebrated like a goal.

Parents POTM was Mo, going in goal today and made a great save in first half to keep us in it but commanded his box well and distributed the ball to put us into attack.

Back at it today for the first game of the new season - away at St Anne’s in perfect match conditions.
The boys started straight off the bat with some excellent passing moves and getting down the pitch well against a strong opposition, in what was a physical game. The boys have listened and trained hard in the last few weeks, in preparation for the season, which was clear to see .

Today’s POTM was Teddie. Teddie gives every game 100% and covers every inch of the pitch, not only creating chances for the team but also put’s himself into strong positions consistently.
Ted is a defenders nightmare, which was proved today when he won a free kick outside of the box, to then go on and score from it!

Well done Teddie and the rest of the Bulldogs 👏🏻 🔵⚽️⚪️

Under 12s in action for the final preseason game vs South Shore Pythons, a great game ending 3-3.
Both teams were physical and up for the game, some great football on show and great stops by the keepers.
Goals from Kent, Max and Jackson, assisted by Dom, Freddie T and Freddie P.
Player of the match was Freddie T, great assist from him but an absolute rock at the back, strong tackles and well timed interceptions.
Parents POTM was Zayd, tricky feet and battled hard to help his team.
Well done to both teams, a great game to watch.

Under 12s in action this weekend and when we went 4-0 down after 15 minutes you always think the worst but these boys put everything into getting back into that game to bring it back to 4-3 and control the game really from the moment we got our first goal, the chances we had in the second half should’ve seen us at least draw but the boys should be very proud of the way they came back.
First goal was a superb ball from Zayd for Jackson to finish, then same story for the second but this time Freddie P on the right with a perfect ball through to Jacko. Third goal was a corner with Freddie T flicking a great header towards the back post and Kent poaching it.
Parents POTM was Freddie T for another outstanding and performance and Managers Player was Cole who was everywhere as usual, putting himself about and making things happen for us.

U12s in action yesterday against Fleetwood Gym warriors and it was one of the best 0-0 games we've seen, some of the build up play was brilliant, we just couldn’t put the ball in the net unfortunately. The way the boys had the confidence to knock it around and some of the through balls were superb.
Parents player was Cole today who did what he does best with his battling and link up play. Managers player was Dom who looked so confident today, passing, tackling and also played a couple of positions for us.

U12s in action today away at Kirkham Yellows, testing themselves again against higher division teams, but it was a close end to end game, with Kirkham narrowly edging it 3-2.
Player of the match was Mo, stand in GK today and some great saves made and good distribution to his teammates.
Parents POTM was Archie, getting a goal and an assist and an overall great performance from him, his goal was an incredible header from a pin point corner, right into the top right hand corner.
Great game as always, thanks to Kirkham for hosting and good luck to them in the upcoming season
