Blackpool Clarion is a cycling club for Blackpool and The Fylde, run by local cyclists for local cyclists looking to develop their own abilities, skills and interests in the company of others. We have rides for all abilities which can be viewed on the calendar of our website: http://blackpoolclarion.info We always welcome new members on our rides which go from the clock tower in Stanley Park. ou want to join us and have any questions please get in touch with us via the web form on our website and one of our committee will come back to you. With members, comprising men and women of all ages, interests and levels of fitness, we share our interests, knowledge and experience for the benefit of all those in the club. We don't have entry requirements and welcome riders of all abilities to the club. We also have a fast growing junior section. Our aim is simple - to enjoy the full spectrum of cycling activities from the recreational through to the competitive. If like us you want a balance of enjoyment and competition without the pressure of a pure 'racing' club, then Blackpool Clarion is for you! Remember our mantra - "We never leave a rider behind!"

Not sure about this one. Quite right in saying that your legs take a bit to get going after a cafe stop. Like the idea of doing the cafe stop after a ride but that means you need to use a cafe near where you live. Personally prefer a quick cafe stop or break then get back on the road again.

Nice bit of better weather. Club did 3 rides today. Coal road 127 miler and two 47 ish rides by different groups. All great rides going in different directions. Average mph went from 13.5 to 16.5 with the super fit group doing 18.5 mph.
As you can see Blackpool Clarion cater for all cyclists.

Gravel roads you either love them or hate them. Nothing like the crunching sounds from your tyres as you ride along. Great on a MTB bike and I have used a normal road bike without any problems but you need to be more careful especially on corrugations.😀
