Blackpool Youth Games is in full swing, and yesterday was our Athletics event!

Primary schools across Blackpool took part in the following events:

🏃‍♂️ Relay Race
🏉 Howler Throw
👏Long Jump
👏 Speed Bounce

Well done to everyone who came along, and huge congratulations to the winning schools!

Thanks to funding opportunities, we’ve proudly been offering our walking sports, including cricket and football, for free, giving lots of people the opportunity to get active in a fun, sociable way.

This funding period has now come to an end - but we don’t want the fun to stop!

To keep these sessions running, we’ll be introducing a small fee of £3.30 per session across all our walking sports to those who don’t have an Active Blackpool membership (these sessions will still be included as part of our membership offering).

This week is Drowning Prevention Week and The Royal Life Saving Society has been campaigning tirelessly for over 130 years to try to prevent drowning through high quality, water safety education.

Our message to you is, if you or your child can't swim, please consider swimming lessons this week and have those talks at home. At Active Blackpool, we offer lots of different swimming lessons for children, adults and schools.
