ACADEMY JUDO (Ages 12-16)

Academy Judo is here! Starting from Friday 25th September the class will run from 18:30-19:30 every week!

Whether graduating from our Junior class or trying Judo for the first time this session will provide you the opportunity to learn, grade and even compete in the Olympic Sport of Judo whilst gaining confidence, developing life skills and making friends along the way!

Our Academy Judo focus is on developing a team spirit that will support, progress and challenge each other to reach new heights!

Classes are taken by fully qualified and DBS checked British Judo coaches and are peer supported by our qualified teenage Kanji Coaching assistants to ensure you get the support you need to develop your judo journey!

We are grateful to have attended the Active Blackpool Community Awards 2026 this evening at the Winter Gardens!

Although no trophy, we are very proud to have come Highly Commended twice within the last three years, a testament to our players, volunteers, parents and coaches who continue to help Keidokwai grow and develop.

Congratulations are also in order for .judo_5691 Jake Pasquill who can Highly Commended in the prestigious Wilkinson Sword Elite Performer category! Well done Jake, it's great to see your achievements recognised by the local sports community.

Fantastic result for Amber today who won Silver at the Heart of England Championships! 🥈

Amber won three fights by a mix of two Ippon throws and one solid tactical victory!

Amber had a 12 minute war with the player who took Gold, and both girls dug deep and absolutely fought their hearts out. The final score was only decided by the slightest of yuko scores. Well done to both players who showed true warrior spirit!

We are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our timetable from Friday 25th September!

ACADEMY JUDO
Ages 12-16
18:30-19:30

Aimed at high school students, this class will act as a natural bridge between our current Junior and Senior sessions as well as a natural entry point for new teenage players!

FUNDAMENTAL JUDO
Ages 16+
19:30-21:00

Aimed at developing the technical aspects of Judo for seniors, this is the perfect entry point for beginners and those wanting to develop their Judo techniques in depth!

We are super excited to get started on our new Friday classes! Get in touch now to inquire about taking part! 🙌
