Had a wonderful Relax Kids session yesterday evening with the lovely All Saints Clayton Le Moors Brownies. So much fun, creativity and wisdom from the girls and they absolutely loved all the Mindfulness and Relaxation activities. Thank you so much to all the girls and to Helen and the other Leaders for inviting me to work with you. Absolute pleasure.

It's Back to School time.
Definitely takes a bit of getting used to (especially the getting up early!) but it's great to see everyone and catch up, and good to be back to doing Relax Kids classes.
Hope your Back to School week is going well. (Kids and Grown ups).
I'm off to a staff meeting soon then later this week back to doing Relax Kids with the children. Can't wait 😀😀😀

This made me smile 😀 It's National thank a teacher day and I just want to join in by thanking all the staff in the schools I work in doing Relax Kids and yoga. They are so kind and so supportive and work incredibly hard. I'm always made to feel so welcome and part of the team.

The beauty and power of Relax Kids is often most powerful in the simple activities. Choosing someone else in class to give a star sticker to, listening to the meditation bell and noticing how we feel, giving a receiving a calming massage. As adults and children, we spend so much time thinking, planning, doing and striving but in Relax Kids we are allowed to slow down, connect, experience and just be. I've just had a lovely mindful morning with the Year 1s and 2s in one of my regular schools this morning doing just this. 😀Lucky me 😀😀

This week it has been great to sit in a circle, and all share something with the group. Thinking about the importance of connecting with other people, and how we can do this. My Friday morning Y5/6 class, as always, have been so reflective and wise as we talked about the impact of lockdowns on this and how we now have a new appreciation of how good it feels to connect with people. A reminder to never forget to listen to and appreciate the wisdom of our children 😀
