The new season started very slowly this evening,i am wondering wheres all these sports people from Blackburn and Darwen or from anywhere in the region.If you want to be a champion in the future then get down to your local gym

R&J at the Ardwick Lads club this afternoon,its a great venue and the weather complimented the show.
Its been a great day of competitive club boxing .Weldone and congrats to Ardwick lads and many thanks to all the officials ,also congrats to Darren Lanceley for passing his EB Ref and supervisors course and getting involved in the regional competitions.

Needed to get a spar for young Owais so visited my old freind Safs gym RIBBLE VALLEY A.B.C.,3 of his sons boxed for me .

It was nice to be treated to dinner as a surprise by my youngest son ASAM, daughter in law and grand kids after finishing the gym at one of the famous restaurants MY LAHORE (use to be THE RED LION).
The food was very tasty and enjoyed by all.
There were no special reason just Dad and Son after a long time.
There should be no need for a REASON to spend time with family.

They always say that history repeats it self , i was officiating as R&J at the ACCRINGTON LION BOXING CLUB at The Hyndburn Leisure Centre this evening and ofcourse as it happens i had boxed here in 1977 for the THE QUEENS SILVER JUBILEE,It was one hell of a coincidance that today was the day when HRH CHARLES THE 3RD had accepted his position as The KING OF UNITED KINGDON AND HE HAD RECIEVED HIS CROWN TODAY and i happened to be REFEREEING TODAY 46 years later at the same venue.
This little bit was printed in the local paper at the time,regarding the tournament in 1977,its great to remember your past,
May thanks to all the officials who made it possible today for this show to go on,we had 13 cracking bouts.
It was really well packed out to support all the local boxers.
