LSH 25 April 2026
Wow!
What a close, combatative, wonderful game of Rugby Union, which Blackpool RUFC won 38-32 against an organized Liverpool St Helens Rugby Club away at Moss Lane WA11 7PL.
LSH opened the scoring with two tries, before James Grimes scored the first of his two tries. Davies thundered over from fly half, converted by Jamie Irving.
The lead swapped constantly, with Team Fiji scoring twice for Blackpool to lead at half time 24-17. James Grimes scored his second under the posts, the effort of scoring, however, took him some time to recover from.
LSH were determined to win and deserve every credit for a dramatic second half but had to settle for a losing bonus point.
Craig Davies, brother of Scott Davies scored for LSH with all the family watching.
Man of the match was Captain Tom Bailey.

Blackpool wish long term scrum half Chris Marsh, playing on the wing today, every good wish for the future, in his last match, before returning to Christchurch New Zealand. Thanks Chris for the years and games you've played for Blackpool RUFC. ❤️💙
Thanks to Holly Darcy, Darcy Davies and her grandfather and Caitlyn for the photography.
Blackpool look forward to the closed season and the drive and enthusiasm of the new club members in preparing the club for the start of the next season. ❤️💙
