Army Clay Target Shooting Open Day and Talent Identification event ~ 25 Oct 22:
On 25 Oct 22, an Army Clay Target Shooting event will be held at the National Clay Shooting Centre (NCSC), Bisley Camp, Brookwood, Surrey, GU24 0PB. The aim of the event is to enable Army Regular and Reserve personnel to be safely introduced to the Army recognised sport of Clay Target Shooting, with the intent to identify talent and encourage greater participation in a popular sport that has positive influence on operational shooting. In partnership with British Shooting, the British Army Shooting Team will deliver instruction and safe handling in a variety of shotgun-based shooting disciplines.

The British Army Clay Target Team are supporting the British Shooting campaign. The initiative is designed to change the perceptions of target shooting, striving to become a more inclusive and diverse sport. aims to break down barriers within target shooting by providing platform to allow new people to get involved with the sport.
On arrival participants will be provided with a safety brief, an introduction to the sport and the equipment used before being divided into small groups and escorted around the clay shooting ground. Instruction will then be provided in the English Sporting (ESP), Down the Line (DTL) and English S***t (ESK) shooting disciplines. Athletes from Team GB will also be attending the event, to speak to the Service participants and share their experiences from within the sport.
