Hi to all Kaisho Wadoryu Karatedo club Parents and students, first of all I wish you all a Very Happy Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2026.
I am very pleased to say our club has had a new influx of new students over the last six months, and last week myself and Dean Cook 4th Dan my senior instructor, successfully graded nine students, of which Seven took their 8th kyu yellow belt grading, and passed with flying colours (sic) They included, Sammy Penbayun, Ben Roberts, Seb Harling, William Goble-styles, Martha Nicholls, Kate and Noah Thackeray. Very well done to all. We then had an 8yr old young lady called Eve McGregor who graded for 6th kyu Green belt and 10yrs old Nola Brown taking her 7th kyu Orange belt, both acquitting themselves very well indeed. I must say a Big thank you to my other instructors at the club who very graciously take the time and effort to help train all our students.
I wish all students of the WIKF around the globe Season's greetings and a Happy New year, yours in Wadoryu.
Brian Williams Sensei 7th Dan Chief Inst.

Seasons greetings to all Kaisho students and parents. This week we held a grading for six of our students, and I am delighted to say that all were successful. Two 12 year olds, Harris and Felix passed their 7th kyu Orange belts with flying colours. Next up were father and son Mark & 11yr old Rowan and 18yrs of age Cerys Thomas taking their 5th kyu Blue belts, I must say that Rowan has improved tremendously over the past year, which also saw him awarded student of the year. Cerys performed superbly again and just goes from strength to strength. Last but not least, 17yr old Josie Cryer took on the daunting task of 3rd kyu Brown belt, the first of three before Black belt. At first Josie showed signs of nerves, which is quite natural when taking a big step up, but soon got into her stride with some very commendable Kihon, basic techniques, performing her Kata, Kushanku which she was quite nervous about before hand, I was very impressed, well done, the rest of the syllabus she did well, so congratulations Josie, we are now looking forward to a Healthy and prosperous New year, best wishes to all at Kaisho Wadoryu Karatedo club.
Brian Williams Sensei Chief Inst' 7th Dan.

To all students and Parents, Kaisho Karatedo club will be closed from 22nd July to 2nd of September. We will reopen on Monday 2nd of September. This is the first time in the clubs 27 years of training at St.Andrews Church Hall that we have had to do this. But the last 2years due to summer holidays the numbers have been down during this period, so making it difficult to pay for the hall.
If you have any queries please get in touch with myself or Dean Cook my senior instructor.
Kind regards, Brian Williams Chief Inst.
