Good Afternoon ☀️

It’s been a busy few weeks around the pond following on from our epic weekend we had few weeks back, We have been getting some vital jobs done ready for the winter months coming in, We have just completed a sleeper wall on the old outlet bay ready for when we start pumping and clearing the silt later on this year giving us back much needed depth in summer months,

Away day:

We are really excited to be invited by Ben and the team at Chichester lakes for another away day fishing, the brilliant east lake at Chichester lake complex, The club will be taking 10 juniors & 10 adults on a mission to see who can catch the biggest carp on the day.

Hey fisherpeeps! 👋🎣

Hope everyone’s having a great week so far! It’s crazy how quickly those evenings are starting to draw in, so make the most of them while they last and get yourselves down the pond! 🌅🎣

Just a short one from us today as we’re trialling something new at the pond to help tackle the algae.

Welcome to the newest addition to our ecosystem… water fleas! 🦠🌿

Following advice from the Environment Agency, we’ve been advised to introduce water fleas as a natural way of helping control algae blooms, so we’re giving it a go!

You’ll notice a couple of new enclosures around the pond. They’ll be pretty hard to miss, but they’re there for a reason, so please try to keep fishing away from them as much as possible to avoid snagging or losing your gear. 🎣🙏

As mentioned, just a short one today while we’re still recovering from what was an absolutely amazing weekend of events! 😴😂

Good morning

Learn to fish morning is now fully booked up with a small waiting list, We will aim to put on more of these days in near future please keep a eye out.

The response we have had back on this event has been incredible and we are very proud of direction the club is going at moment

And there it is… the final whistle! 🏁🎣
What an EPIC weekend for the club! 🙌

Brilliant match day today and, as we’ve been told by one of our longer-standing members, this was our first away match in probably 10+ years… and what a way to bring it back! 🔥

Between us we landed over 134lb of carp, with some seriously impressive bags for the winners! 👏🐟

🏆 THE RESULTS

Juniors

🥇 1st – TJ — a whopping 39lb 9oz! 🎣🔥
🥈 2nd – Alfie — very well fished with 11lb 3oz 👏
🥉 3rd – Oli — SO close to 2nd, just pipped at the post with 10lb 9oz!

Adults

🥇 1st – Our Vice Chairman — 33lb 10oz (although he did put himself in charge of the peg draw… 🤔😂)
And, of course, still outfished by his nipper! 😆
🥈 2nd – Dan — an OK-ish haul of 23lb 6oz (yes I can catch fish... occasionally 😉)
🥉 3rd – Our man on the pole… Colin — 7lb on the nose 🎣

But perhaps the most impressive result of all…

NO ONE BLANKED! 🙌😂

No wooden spoon, no excuses, just a ruddy good day's fishing all round!

A huge thank you, as always, to Tom for organising the day and to everyone who was able to attend. Without you lot, days like this simply wouldn't happen.
Our mission this year is simple: get more juniors fishing and build a strong community around a shared passion.

The support we've been shown this weekend has been absolutely epic, from parents, members and local businesses, we genuinely couldn't do what we're doing without you.

Wow, wow, wow! Never been so tired, but what a day it was! 😂🎣

An absolutely unbelievable Juniors Only Day at the pond! We honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of our juniors. You absolutely smashed it! 👏

Not only did we see some amazing fish caught in really tough conditions, but more importantly, today was a brilliant reminder of what fishing is really all about, banter, helping one another, sharing a passion, showing kindness and, most importantly, having fun! ❤️

A huge congratulations to our two winners! 🏆

🎣 Biggest Carp — won by just ONE OUNCE! 😱

🎯 Species Hunt — ended in a tie, meaning it all came down to a good old Rock, Paper, Scissors decider! 😂✊📄✂️

We hope you both enjoy your fantastic Parkerbaits summer bundles, a firm favourite with the committee members! 😉🎣

A massive shout-out to everyone who helped make today such a huge success:

Good Afternoon

We are really excited to be having a learn to fish morning at the pond on Sunday 27th September, This morning is for Juniors and family’s to learn a new hobby with the potential to then join the club and become a member.

There will be spaces for 15 anglers in total 3 sessions of 5, one hour per session. All equipment and baits will be provided and coaches from Angling Trust to teach. They will be teaching all basics on how to start of fishing, equipment to use and most importantly fish care.

And once again thank you very much to Tommys Tackle for donating 5 whips to use, We really appreciate you guys.

Morning all! 👋

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday and getting plenty of time down on the bank! 🎣

Some absolutely cracking catches have been coming out of the pond following the change in weather. Who’d have thought we’d ever be praying for rain! 😂🌧️

The committee are absolutely stoked about the upcoming Junior Match this Saturday, proudly sponsored by SNC Installations Ltd , Parker Baits and Tommys Tackle, couldn't have pulled this off without you guys, so a huge thank you as always! We’ve had a fantastic response and are now fully booked! 🙌

For everyone attending, keep an eye on your inbox as we’ll be sending out an email later today with all the details you need for Saturday.

We are getting very excited to be holding our first away match this season a week on Sunday at Retreat lakes Romsey, This the first time the club has traveled to different waters for over 15 years, We aim to bring back all of these away trips again and socials, Next year we already have one away match booked in and carp social weekend.
