As we celebrate Volunteers' Week, we'd also like to recognise the people who help make it happen.

The friendly welcome.
The familiar faces.
The people setting up games, encouraging others to join in, and helping everyone feel part of something.

So if you're heading to ParkPlay this weekend, why not take a moment to say hello, thank you, or introduce yourself to someone new.

We're hiding chocolate eggs at Castle Park this weekend - come and find them! 🌿

Join us for our usual free session PLUS an Easter egg hunt with chocolate prizes. All the fun, games and fresh air you'd expect from ParkPlay, with a very tasty bonus this week.

At ParkPlay, the friendships formed are just as important as the fun - not just for families, but for the volunteers who make it happen too. Here's what Susan, PlayDirector at Scott ParkPlay in Burnley, had to say…

"Amey has been one of our longest standing attendees, she comes down to ParkPlay with her son Lucas in rain or shine. Amey and I are both originally from Bedford, 200 miles away from Burnley where we now call home. Amey moved to Burnley seven years ago and I moved almost four years ago.

I joined ParkPlay to meet new people and I couldn’t believe it when I met a lovely lady who is also from my hometown. Amey and I have become friends and bonded over how similar our 200-mile relocation has been.

ParkPlay is fabulous for a whole load of reasons but building a community and friendships is a massive part of it! I’ve also convinced her to be a PlayLeader now which is an added bonus."
