Te-Ashi-Do Karate Bishops Stortford is run By Sensei Alan Worrell, 3rd Dan, and is part of the founder part of Te-Ashi-Do Karate Clubs based primarily in Epping, Essex. This was combined with 4 years of boxing training unto the age of 17. Between the age of 9 and 19 he competed in local sport Karate events culminating in competing at both National Championships and International Opens on several
occasions. After a break in training, Alan resumed his training under the tutelage of Sensei Andy Major, 5th Dan, who's practical combination of Wado-Ryu and Kyokushinkai techniques make the Te-Ashi-Do Syllabus and teaching methods practical for self defence purposes whilst promoting a strong emphasis on physical fitness. During the training Alan achieved the grade of 1st Dan Black belt in November of 2010. Remaining committed to his training he went on to achieve 2nd Dan level in July 2012 and 3rd Dan level in July 2014.
