10 Things I wish I knew sooner in the gym…
◦ Your form and technique is more important than the weight you’re lifting!
◦ Quality > Quantity! You do not need to be doing lots and lots of exercises per session!
◦ Rest days are as important as training days!
◦ Food is fuel not the enemy! Your muscles will not grow without enough food!
◦ PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD!
◦ The importance of getting a good 8hrs sleep!
◦ Plan your workouts! It saves so much time and your workouts will be so much more efficient!
◦ Training legs every day will not grow your glutes! X2 a week is enough!
◦ Do NOT skip upper body!
◦ Nobody is watching you! They’re too busy watching themselves! It’s YOU vs. YOU!
📸 no.1 - I was not eating enough, training legs every day and not following a plan!
📸 no.2 - I followed a split workout plan each week which focussed on progressive overload, I ate enough in order to gain muscle and ensured I had enough rest days to recover!
You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great 🌟
