Derwentwater Round - Sunday
As with all our walks we are planning some activities on the route round so please inform us if you cant attend this one.
We have lots of different groups attending from Our residential attendees, Canoe expedition and charity Residential.
Due to it being a holiday, car parking will be limited so im asking we arrive early on this walk.
I would recommend getting there around 8am this gives you time to get ready and use the toilets in the car park.
Car Park / Meeting Point
Lakeside Car Park
Keswick
CA12 5DJ
Charges per hour
2 hours £3,50
3 hours £5.90
6 hours £8.20
12 hours £10.40
Please car share where possible as this will reduce the number of spaces we require in the car park.
I may have some additional spaces in my van so please let me know and ill check to see if I can give you a lift.
If the car park is full there is more car parking at edge of the town centre with short walk to the car park.
It's set to be great day! Hopefully some brilliant views and good fun catching up with friends and meeting some new people.
We will meet outside the Toilet block and be ready to go for 8:30am.
Walk will approximately take 5 hours with stops. We may take a couple of detours for different views of lake depending on group ability, timings and weather
Just a few things we need to arrange first.
1. Please reply to this email with your mobile number or one for your party who are attending the event.
2. If you have any health issues or concerns that may impact you on this walk please get in touch with Rob ASAP.
Kit list
You will be expected to ensure you have the correct kit. As with any guided walk we need to ensure the safety of all of our walkers. Please bring the following, if you have any problems or have any questions please drop me a message.
We have to plan for rain and cold weather as it can change rapidly in the lake district.
Rucksack/drysack - you could just carry your spare clothes in a carrier inside your rucksack to keep them dry
Gloves
Hat
Spare socks
Extra layer of clothing - avoid cotton and denim as these take longer to dry
Water proof jacket and trousers
I would recommend wearing quick drying trousers if possible
Wear a base layer when setting off if required
Water
Flask
Packed lunch and snacks
Sun tan lotion (hopefully)
Any medication you may require e.g. inhaler/epi pen etc and please inform Rob prior to setting off.
Before you arrive on Sunday. Please give me a call if you have any medical issues you need to discuss before arrival
Please respond to this email with your mobile number and who you are travelling with.
