Monday 17th June League Match:

Under 7’s

AJX FC "Madrid”

Opponent: Newcastle City Jrs Inter.

Madrid boys back in league action tonight. With a coupke new faces added to the team.
Lovely night for a game of football as well. We started off on the front foot putting pressure on their players and were unlucky not to get a goal in the first half.
Second half we carried on battling with a really good Newcastle team. We didn’t panic on the ball and just hit and hope for once. Doing what we worked on in training getting the ball and feeding the wings. Really good game, we were just unlucky on the night with some questionable decisions by the ref. Maybe the sun got in his eyes all the time, or watched the France vs Senegal match last night and thought “yeah that’s abit of me.”

*Goals:-
Hudson ⚽️ -great dominant running and finish.

Arthur ⚽️- half way line rocket.

Player of the match:-

Arthur- welcome addition to the team. Solid at the back. Great progressive runs when won the ball and a great goal to cap off his performance. Well done 👏

AJX FC Match Report - Tuesday 9th June

A real dogged performance today.

I thought we were the better team in the first half. The pace of pressing from the front 4 made it difficult for them to get out. Leo (who was excellent today) put them under pressure and used his strength very well.

I don’t remember them having too many shots on goal.

The only thing that stopped us was that the final ball wasn’t quite good enough. But we took a 1-0 lead after a shot from Jay.

After the break seaburn came out well and had a decent spell.

We didn’t quite manage as much football in the second half but managed to take a 2 goal lead thanks to a long range free kick from Zach that took a touch on the way in.

But Seaburn fought back and scored a free kick of their own. They almost equalised but Archie made a top save.

The last few were made more comfortable after another excellent strike from Jay made it 3-1.

A huge thank you to King James I Community and especially Jake Pearson and his fantastic staff for providing AJX FC with an outstanding venue for our tournaments this weekend and over the coming weeks.

Jake has supported our club in the best possible way, offering the facilities free of charge to help us raise the vital funds every grassroots club relies on. That level of generosity and community spirit is something we’re genuinely privileged to have behind us.
