We are a friendly and inviting golf venue and we welcome all, whether you are a regular golfer, new to the sport or not a golfer at all! We aim to deliver all that's necessary for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. Golf World Stansted is set in beautiful Essex countryside near Stansted Airport and includes a 9 hole golf course, a 3-hole short course, an Adventure Golf Course, a modern gym, a restaurant, a bar, a function room and now a double-storey 28 bay driving range. We host regular events, parties and weddings as well as many golfing competitions and social activities.
1066 Adventure Golf-
1066 Adventure Golf is based on local history and we have built it to reflect the design of early Norman motte and bailey castles, many of which were constructed in 1066 after the Norman invasion.
1066 Adventure Golf has also been built to fit in with its surroundings, rather than being made entirely of concrete and fibreglass, which many adventure golf courses are. Unlike other courses, we have aimed for an eco-friendly and sustainable construction. We have a life size Norman long ship, a castle keep, a thatched turreted house, a working water wheel and many carved wooden figures, all set in a calming water and garden environment. The 18 hole course is made from artificial grass, with contouring, raised levels, rough and fairways, all designed to give a more natural feel, with some challenging holes as well as some easier ones. The Course-
Golf World Stansted is a 9-hole parkland golf course at a length of just over 2800 yards. At this length don't be fooled, the small undulating greens create difficulties for all abilities of players. The course itself offers a range of different holes along with a number of testing hazards, making it an interesting round of golf for anyone. Our course is set up to allow 18 holes if requested, as there are several alternate tees on the back 9. Overall the course is a challenge for any experienced golfer, or those just starting out in the world of golf. Academy Course-
At Golf World Stansted we also offer a 3-hole par 3 academy course. This course is great for beginners and juniors that are just venturing out on to the golf course for the first time. This course is normally quiet, which eliminates the pressure of being rushed round the golf course, making it a much more relaxed environment to play golf. Our café and bar look out over the driving range and first tee, so on a warm day you can sit out on the patio and enjoy the view along with one our freshly prepared lunches or all day snacks.
