Looking for a fun Friday morning activity to enjoy with your little one? 💫

Making Movesis a creative dance and movement session for 0–5 year olds and their grown-ups, where you can explore, play, wiggle and get curious together.

Through music, stories and sensory props, each themed session encourages little ones to use their imaginations, discover movement and express themselves in their own way. And grown-ups are invited to join in too!

The sessions are SEND-friendly and inclusive of all abilities, creating a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable exploring and having fun.

Led by Dance Artist Tina Carter at Fabric, Space 2.

Cool Company is back this autumn! 🍂

If you're aged 55 or over, you are warmly invited to join this inclusive dance improvisation ensemble for the autumn term, with six sessions between Mon 21 Sep and Mon 14 Dec.

Based between The Space (our large downstairs event space) and Studio 1 at Fabric, Cool Company explores movement, visual art and mixed media, taking inspiration from our current exhibitions. Led by choreographer, director and Backlit Gallery studio artist Deane McQueen, each session blends creativity, collaboration and conversation in a relaxed, supportive environment. 💃🕺

Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, you'll find a friendly, established group where curiosity and connection are at the heart of every workshop.

We're delighted to invite you to an open sharing from our residency artist, Kali Chandrasegaram - Fascia in Faschion! Exploring South Asian dance through the lens of fascia.

This event offers an opportunity to explore Kali's research into fascia-informed movement practice and its potential to support the longevity and sustainability of an artist's practice, with a focus on South Asian classical dance.

Throughout the residency, Kali has worked alongside a focus group of South Asian classical dance practitioners, mentored by Balbir Singh and joined by Russell Maliphant, investigating new approaches to movement, connection and embodied practice.

Whether you're a dance artist, researcher, practitioner or simply curious about the creative process, this open sharing invites you to experience the research, engage in conversation and be part of the discussion.
