Calling all knitters, crocheters & felters – Corby Pole Fair needs you! We want to adorn one of the floral arches at Corby Pole Fair 2022 with your handiwork and St John the Baptist Church, Corby will be leading a town-wide call to get crafty in the lead-up to the fair on June 3rd.

We need lots of your home-crafted flowers. They can be any colour, any size, and any pattern. They can be knitted, crocheted, felt or any other textile flower creations you can think of. But we need lots of them to start to build a spectacular archway that will welcome people to the fair.

Can you help?! Are you a Crafter and would be happy to sew for a child in emergency care?

We are looking for people to make Drawstring Bags to add to our Buddy Bags for children who have entered emergency accommodation after fleeing domestic abuse.

You can create the bags using any suitable children’s fabric in a size that is approximately 12” x 10”

All bags will need to be delivered to Cookes Storage;

TRAFFIC LIGHT BLANKET APPEAL ❤️🧡💚

We’ve had quite a few appeals for traffic light blankets from various NICU units. They have asked us not to give out their addresses directly to avoid them being inundated with too many items, so they are coming to us at WBP HQ first to post on.

24” square (roughly)

Patterns with no holes in. Tiny babies can get fingers caught, this is why we ask for no holes.

Colours Red, orange or green. Only one of these colours per blanket. Colours can be mixed with another colour, for example red and white stripes, but as long as a nurse can look at the blanket and quickly identify if it’s “red” - the colours identify how much care a baby needs, red being the highest level of care, green being slightly less.

No other traffic light items needed.
