Welcome to Aston Bears! We are all looking forward to an exciting new year ahead with plenty of competitions and socials lined up for 2022-2023. We provide a variety of opportunities to take part through swimming, waterpolo or socially and can’t wait to see some of you guys over the coming year. Memberships:
Interested: for those not sure if they want to purchase membership and want to come to ta
ster sessions
Playing: for those who want access to all swimming and water polo training sessions across the academic year
Exchange Student Membership for 1 Term: for those who are at Aston for 1 semester exchange and want to take part in training sessions across the academic semester
Social: for those who don't want to come to training sessions but still want to come along to our socials
Training Times
Swimming:
• Mondays 19:00-20:30
• Wednesdays 14:00-15:15, 15:15-16:30
Water Polo:
• Tuesdays 21:00-22:00
• Wednesdays 19:00-20:30
*2 more sessions will be added in the beggining of November
Competitions:
1) Swimming:
Our swimming team will compete in the BUCS and BUCL leagues:
• BUCS short-course championships in first term (November 2022). These take place over a weekend so we get to have a few nights away and some great socials while there too!
• BUCL - newly formed British University Swimming League (BUSL) which runs more local and regular swimming galas!
2) Water Polo:
Our waterpolo teams will have a variety of games with local universities and welcome all abilities from complete beginners to seasoned veteran. If you want even more waterpolo then why not look at playing with our affiliate club "Aston Men's" who have training on Thursday evenings. To get more information, speak with our President - Levan.
