GOLF SHOULD FEEL OPEN TO EVERYONE.

That’s a big part of what we’re trying to build at SKRATCH GOLF.

Being based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and close to the city centre gives us an opportunity to bring golf to people who may never have considered walking onto a traditional golf course or driving range.

We want to help change that.

A place where someone can pick up a club for the first time. Where experienced golfers can practise and improve. Where businesses and communities can meet. And where people can get active, have fun and discover just how good this game can be.

For us, simulator golf isn’t about replacing outdoor golf. It can be a gateway into the game.

Make that first experience accessible and enjoyable, build someone’s confidence, teach them the basics — and hopefully give them the desire to take the next step and experience golf outdoors too.

At the same time, we’re building a community right here in the Jewellery Quarter: bringing together golfers, beginners, local residents, young professionals and businesses through lessons, events, competitions, networking and social golf.

There is a huge opportunity to make golf more accessible in our city, and we want SKRATCH GOLF to play its part.

Last night we welcomed the Gowling team for their own exclusive event at SKRATCH — and this is exactly what our venue is built for.

Golf simulators, interactive darts, our interactive putting experience and the bar, with the space exclusively theirs for the evening.

Plenty of competition, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, a chance for everyone to switch off from work and enjoy time together.

GREAT TO SIT DOWN AND TALK ABOUT WHAT WE’RE BUILDING AT SKRATCH GOLF.

A big thank you to Dan Smith from Sport Birmingham for coming down to SKRATCH and taking the time to find out more about what we’re creating here in Birmingham.

We talked about much more than simulator golf.

For us, it’s about how golf can help break down barriers, make the game more accessible and give people a different way to experience the sport — whether they’re an experienced golfer or picking up a club for the first time.

That’s a big part of where we want to take SKRATCH GOLF.

Creating a place where people can play, learn, meet others and feel part of something — while helping introduce golf to people who perhaps never thought the game was for them.

Plenty more to come as we continue building the SKRATCH community in Birmingham.

After two brilliant days of Solheim Cup golf, Europe and the USA are locked at 8–8 heading into the Sunday singles. Europe need 14½ points to win the Cup back.
