Keeping Love 100
Coventry Corsairs had a very special occasion for a pair of players this month. Before joining the club they hadn’t met each other, and might not have ever met without the team, and now they are an integral part of each others’ story. They serve as an anchor example of what we aim to foster as a club, bringing people together, discovering love, and being by each other’s side.

For this month to honour the union of two of our players, Jack and James, the value we want to feature as a core part of what Coventry Corsairs keep 100 is Love.

Our very own is on the trip of a lifetime, flying the flag with Bristol Bisons RFC at IGR Bingham & Amanda Mark Cup in Brisbane, Australia

Captains Report from Dan:

“What a day to play touch rugby! Sun, slight clouds and many a tan line among the touch team.

Today had a mixture of results with an overall positive experience for all players involved for today. From a day perspective, we won two games (Nottingham and Longhorns) drew one (Lincoln) and lost three (Sheffield, Typhoons and Chester 2’s).

Despite the three losses, there was some sea faring magic in the air for the corsairs today. Our attacking game was superb with a massive 12 try’s scored throughout the day! It was commented by many an official and oppositions that our defence was superb strong. This shows that all the support from our coaching team is paying off and we are on a real upwards trajectory here as a touch side.

Our player of the tournament is the well deserved Liam. Liam put his body on the line many a time to score a massive 5 try’s today. A well deserved player of the tournament!

As a debut captain, I could not have been prouder to lead this amazing bunch of corsairs to an extremely successful day. Because of this, we’ve moved into a stronger position in the IGR touch leaderboard.

Big thanks to Jack for steering the ship whilst I was away and keeping our team focused and connected.

Leeds next. The final ship will sail and I would highly recommend you all get on board.”

The Crew are off to the penultimate Touch Series Day of the season, hosted by Chester Centurions .

We are excited to round out the season on a high, and enjoy the last couple touch days of a year that has been such a joy to be a part of.
