“Why use an outside provider when our nursery team already delivers physical activities?”
It’s a question nursery Franchisees quite rightly ask when they can't see the impact on the ground.
And the answer isn’t because your practitioners can’t deliver physical activity. It’s because the right specialist provider should add something MORE.
Think of it in the same way as bringing in a specialist for music or languages. Your practitioners are fantastic Early Years professionals, but an external specialist can bring additional expertise, equipment, ideas and dedicated time to one particular area.
💡 Fresh ideas every week
When you're planning activities every single day, it's easy to fall back on favourites. A specialist brings new games, themes, challenges and ways of getting children moving, giving your team inspiration too.
🌟 Specialist physical-development knowledge
There's a difference between getting children moving and understanding why we're asking them to move in particular ways. Our programme develops fundamental movement skills including balance, agility, coordination, sending, receiving, spatial awareness and strength, with progression built in as children develop.
🤸 Activities with a purpose
Our sessions aren't simply about burning off energy! Activities are chosen to support children's physical development, body awareness, coordination and movement confidence, while also developing listening, turn-taking and school-readiness skills.
🏀 Equipment without the storage cupboard!
We bring our own equipment and resources, allowing children to experience a much wider variety of activities without the nursery having to continually purchase, maintain and store additional kit.
📋 Something you can evidence
A structured external programme can provide another way for nurseries to demonstrate how they're supporting physical development, with planned activities, progression and evidence of what children have been working on.
👩🏫 30 minutes of completely dedicated focus
When our coach walks through the door, they have one job: delivering a brilliant P.E. session.
They're not simultaneously thinking about nappies, lunches, paperwork, ratios or everything else your practitioners manage throughout a nursery day.
And there's another benefit we sometimes underestimate...
❤️ Children respond differently to someone new.
Having a familiar specialist coach arrive each week creates excitement, gives children another trusted adult to learn from and helps them practise listening and following instructions in a different environment.
External providers should never replace the fantastic physical development already happening within your nursery.
The right provider should enhance it, support your practitioners and give your children something extra.
That's the difference we want Tiny Tots P.E. to make.
