🎾 Warwickshire at the Play Your Way to Wimbledon National Finals 🎾
What a fantastic experience for four Warwickshire players who had the opportunity to compete on the grass courts at the All England Club as part of the Play Your Way to Wimbledon National Finals!
Oliver Merricks, at just 10 years old, represented Warwickshire in the 14U Boys' Singles. Taking on older and stronger players, Oliver played some excellent tennis, including some long and closely contested rallies. Although the results didn't go his way, competing at Wimbledon at only 10 years old is a fantastic achievement and an experience to remember. Well done, Oliver!
Elsie Washbourne represented Warwickshire in the 14U Girls' Singles, winning three of her group matches to qualify for the main draw. She continued her impressive run to reach the quarter-finals, rounding off a brilliant week at Wimbledon.
Warwickshire was also represented in the 18U Boys' Doubles by Anand Dhillon and Adam Patel. The pair won both of their group matches to qualify for the main draw before producing a superb performance in the quarter-finals, where they were narrowly defeated in three sets.
A brilliant experience for Oliver, Elsie, Anand and Adam, and a fantastic opportunity to compete on the famous courts at Wimbledon.
