🏏New Faces, Repeat Fixtures, and more to come in this week’s teamsheets 🏏

The 5th team game has been rearranged, so we only have 6 sides out this week again!

Jonathan Newis’s 1s take on Cov and North Warks, at Eldon Drive hoping for a repeat victory that they achieved on Bank Holiday Monday after a glittering Harry Wyatt century. Scott Pepper moves up as the only change for the 1s.

Louis Chaundy’s absence sees wicketkeeper George Wyatt at the wheel for the 2s against Bronze at The Anson Ground. Last time out, rain abandoned play - so both sides will want a result this time! Arman Dubb returns for his first game of the season, with Jabbran Hussain and Usman Zia receiving a call-up. Finally, two debutants for the 2s! The exciting young all rounder Daniel Foster and seamer Muhammad Nawaz make their debuts this Saturday. Go well you two!

Michael Shackleford’s 3s face Catherine de Barnes hoping to build on from last week’s win. Hoping to not repeat the last time the 3s played against CdB, Michael will welcome Asif Ali Khan, Ahmed Hussain, and Qasim Saleem back to the team. Debuts for pace prospect Thomas Byrne, spinner Tahseenullah Nawab, and 4th team top scorer Muhammad Waqas will take place - good luck!

Mohammed Ali’s 4s have another away day as they take on Solihull Municipal. Mo will welcome back Qamar Zaman and a call-up for Promod Jayalath bolsters the bowling attack. The 4s also have 4 debutants! Ibrahim Afzal, Khushal Shah, Nick Tipper, and Izaan Ul-Haq all make their 4th team debuts. Good luck to all 4!

Amaan Nasar’s Sunday 1s travel to Moseley School to play Attock. Rehan Chishti, Jabbran Hussain, Haroon Irshad, George Wyatt, and Usman Zia come into the side. Rhys Oakley makes his first appearance of the season.

Julian Dexter’s Sunday 2s host Sutton Coldfield at Eldon Drive in a local derby. Asif Ali Khan, Ovais Khan, Usmaan Khan, Adarsh Mishra, Shehroz Naseem, Furqan Ramzan, and Darryl Robinson form part of 7 changes from last week’s game.

6 games with players who are eager to prove themselves and deliver the best they can for Walmley - let’s hope for 6 wins! As always, UP THE WAMMERS!

This week’s honours board sees Captain Louis Chaundy and all rounder Jabbran Hussain on the board!

Louis Chaundy delivered one of the greatest captains innings’ you’re likely to see, as he hit his maiden hundred against Weoley Hill!

Jabbran Hussain’s 4-19 proved vital in a low scoring affair, bowling with control and skill!

Special mentions also go to Aaron Thomason (4-24) and Danial Shah (4-31) who would make most honours boards if not for Jabbran’s brilliant spell of bowling!
