And finally, introducing your chairwoman for 2026/27!!

Charleigh is returning to committee with a big promotion, vice-captain to chair! This year however is going to be different than she anticipated as we’ve recently been blindsided with the news of walkabout closing. Please do not message Charleigh at this time of bereavement. Walkabout bathrooms was the site of Charleigh’s first blackout, how cute!! Charleigh passed out in walkabout smoking area and we had to hold her up, how wholesome!! Charleigh executed some questionable acts dressed as a sheep on walkabout dance floor, how heartwarming!! It’s safe to say that Charleigh has done some character building in that club, all to prepare her for her role this year of course! I’m sure she will impress you all in whatever new place we choose to spend our Wednesdays….. Popworld anyone?

Charleigh will be in charge of the club as a whole and ensure that everything runs smoothly

Introducing your vice chair for 2026/27, Sara!

Essex’s finest, punch victim, stags lover, and back to back vice chair - what more can we say about our beloved Sara? You will in no doubt see her at walkies till close, week in week, out despite saying that she HAS to be home by 1. Her ability to get home at 4am on a Thursday and have still made it in for placement at 9am was truly a marvel. She’s been freed from the shackles of placement this year so now her night out knows no bounds and we’re all very much looking forward to see how that goes!!

Sara’s roles this year will include helping the chair with running the club, socials, and finances.

Introducing your Secretary for 2026/27, James ‘The Wall’ ‘Jam’ Wall!!

Recently completed an auditing placement, how very exciting and interesting. Will not spot you 50p. Will absolutely remember you owe him 50p. His personality? Awful, allegedly on purpose. His mood? Volatile, but somehow still on the committee - We are choosing to believe this was a democratic decision. He is James Wall, ex men’s 1st team captain, junior masterchef winner (?), trinket enjoyer, and owner of a Renault Twingo.

James’ roles this year will include managing our sponsorships and continuing the club’s charity work.

Introducing your female social secretary for 2026/27, back by absolutely no one’s demand, Kaiah!

And here to tell you more about this role is herself. They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, they were wrong. After being so inspired by Alice, who I personally trained into becoming an exact version of myself, I looked in the mirror and said ‘this is not over, I must return’. So alas here I am.

Kaiah will be in charge of planning events, sesh, running the social media’s, and aiding the chair and vice-chair in their roles.

Introducing your men’s social secretary for 2026/27, Kaiah!

If you’re reading this and thinking ‘they must have posted the wrong one’, you are mistaken. As, we at AUHC have struggled with meeting DEI quotas in recent years- particularly gender balances - and so the club made the executive decision to appoint a woman to this role. So here is your first ever (official 😜) female men’s social secretary!!!

Introducing your women’s captain for 2026/27!!

You may recognise Zadie as Aston Snow Club 2024/25 race captain and vice president, you probably don’t, but you might. With a year of captaincy already under her belt it’s no wonder she won this vote with a landslide. This was helped, of course, by her having 0 competition, because everyone was scared her wrath. She is our resident goalie, and also its biggest hater - can’t wait to see you back in that kit Zadie

Introducing your men’s captain for 2026/27!

The day I met Tom he ran 11km to the rec and then still outpaced us all at training, I have no clue how he has this much energy. It can’t be from the white monsters because I’m sure their effect has been lost on him as he’s averaging 4 a night. He is my housemate this year, so I will make sure there’s no funny business going on. Tom’s role this year will include running training sessions and hopefully leading the men to many more victories!

Introducing your playing coordinator for 2026/27!

A man of many talents - organisation being one, alcohol tolerance decidedly not being another. I have been told he has a habit of throwing burgers, and occasionally an empty bottle, out of windows. Luckily, I don’t believe this behaviour will hinder his ability to organise your fixtures.

Raj’s roles this year will be organising the times and umpires for our matches.
